I've been here often and my overall experience is positive. They have some of the friendliest servers in town. The food is good and reasonably priced.
The salmon entree is $18 and has been very consistently prepared. The salmon is cooked perfectly pretty much every time and has well-chosen companions including marinated artichoke hearts, oyster mushrooms, leeks, fingerling potatoes, and mustard vinaigrette. The savory and pungent flavors in the mushrooms and leeks blend well with the acidity of the vinaigrette and artichoke hearts. That flavor party compliments the delicate seasoning of the salmon well.
Tuesday is build-your-burger night which starts with a single or double beef burger (BIG) or a chorizo burger. The latter has great flavor. The beef burgers are decent but you can select cheeses like smoked gouda and white cheddar cheese sauce, and make all sorts of other selections to jazz it up. You can choose sides including the bacon & bleu fries. Draft beers are $3.50 that night. We're pretty regular for those reasons.
There are some things that I don't like but they aren't major, more for feedback than for dissuading your patronage. It is small and loud when busy. The kitchen is small, probably keeping the menu a little simpler than I would like. There are only 2 entrees (the salmon and steak frites) and sometimes a special entree of the day. The menu is sandwich heavy.
The barbecue special was good and huge when I had it but I forget what day. The fries are over-salted somewhat often. They bring huge ketchup and mustard sides out before the food that we barely use. Sometimes I feel the beef in the burgers doesn't have a good flavor, slightly bitter or the seasoning's not right, not from overcooking...I'm not sure why.

The burger was cooked to perfection and cheese was melted and tasty. It came with a delicious Thousand Island Sauce. 10/10 2nd the Mac and Cheese. I see why it is Award Winning. It was truly perfect. It was flavorful, Ooey Gooey, cheesey. It had little pieces of bacon in it that was divine. The bread crumbs on top were tasty and toasted to perfection. 10/10 best Mac and Cheese I've ever had, and I've had a lot!! Last but not least the Parmesan Truffle Fries. The Parmesan on the fries were jus a little to salty but still overall great fries. I didn't taste any truffle at all. It came with a Garlic Aioli sauce,. which was bad in my opinion. I couldn't taste any garlic and it had a little sour taste to eat. Fries 8/10 Garlic sauce 2/10. Shout out to the Chefs/Cooks in the back, they did amazing. The presentation was beautiful. Read moreWow! First time here. Atmosphere is hopping. Group of four for a 6:30 dinner with reservations (not guaranteed after 6pm as they stated when we made the res). Service is awesome and friendly. Menu is large, from appetizers to entrees. I had the "fire burger" with a gluten free bun, wife had the Publik salad with chicken (very large salad with tons of chicken). Burger was excellent, with some sweaty cheeks, but not hot in your mouth. Wife loved the salad, and took half of it home. Our fellow diners are regulars here, and loved their dinners as well. Publik House is a really cool "pub" atmosphere with a large variety of drinks from beer, wine, seltzers and non-alcoholic.
