Peoria Public Library — Attraction in Peoria

If the female librarians cared about the community and its patrons this library would be a wonderful place. Unfortunately, this location is too concerned with allotting thefty, ridiculous fines on top of fines for no other reason of because they can. They make poor people feel even worse than we already do by forcing us to have to ask to check out dvds which they've put behind their counter because they cannot trust us. First, it started with the "rap" cds. Next it was the new dvds. Sunrise Mountain does trust its patrons because they are located in an "affluent" area of Peoria. It's sad to have to leave this library when I was here every other day. I told my students to go there. I promoted you. Now I can only speak poorly of you as you already had a bad reputation. My best friend, my mom, my sister, and my girl scout troop leader have all had bad experiences with the librarians and their too good for us attitude....

The library is beautiful, and seems to have alot of books in the youth department. I visited the library recently around 6pm and the courtyard doors were locked, I don't come here often, so maybe they get locked at a certain time before closing, I'm not sure I was just checking the library out. I was very upset to hear the gal working the youth department yell over to some kids that were running, "For your safety, there's no running". By time she was done shouting this phrase, the kids were already elsewhere, and they probably didn't even know she was talking to them. She should have just said, "No running in the library!". In addition, she didn't seem very pleasant overall when I spoke to her. I won't be coming back...

Lady who was singing every one inn was very rude one agent Adam looked over our application and said it was fine as long as there was just one error . We came 2 hours early and when the lady looked at documents told us there could be no errors . And told us to refill a new one and she sign us inn . So we did let us stand by her thinking she was going to ring us inn just to tell us 2 people later we need to go all the way in the back of the line again . She was rude I don’t see how it’s our fault when there agents told us it was fine .we came early just to be turned down...
