Really great place at first. I approached and asked what I thought was a game warden if they sold fishing licenses at the facility if anything special was needed. The security guard (I guess) answered he was unsure and commented that's probably something i should know. You think? No problem I said. Then he walks over to me and my wife and starts to tell me my dog needs a leash then he seen the bright red leash and harness then he started to cite city ordinances. That dog needed tags, which were also on him just under his fur I let it go until I seen others with no leash no collar, nothing. Then he says that someone said I was feeding a duck and it died right after. I replied oh the water logged duck that has been there since I rolled up in this camp. I continue to walk to my vehicle, he tells me dont walk away from me right now, like hes my pops or something, no badge no gun no power. Funny he knows all the other rules but dont know jack about stuff that really matters. I had taken a pic of park rules before we ever got our dog out to make sure we were good. It doesnt say anything about not feeding duck which I'm not saying I was. I told him this and that there is no sign. Ih theres a sign. Which once I called the desk the lady said yes there is a sign it's just way in the back and it's not a big deal anyway if I was everyone does it. Anyway place was real nice but because of paul Blart paper cop I would never go here again. IF YOU DONT WANT THE DUCK FED AND ITS THIS CAPITAL CRIME, PUT IT ON THE PARK RULES OR ALONG THE PERIMETER WITH THE NO WADDING NO SWIMMING SIGNS. and please make your security aware they do not have the right to detain me or any...
Read moreI love the lake, and walking around here, but the gym was a waste of time and ended up getting so frustrated I left. Of course, when you sign up you sign a 12 month contract, so you end up paying for it for months and they just simply don't care. Let's talk about why I got so frustrated: For weeks last year every time I took my daughter the child care was closed. Then the lady behind the desk literally tried to gaslight my wife and tell her "it's never closed". There are signs on the track that say faster traffic on the outside, and slower traffic to the inside, but there is almost always a group of old ladies walking together at the speed of smell that won't let you pass. The staff does nothing. There is only one squat machine, and chances are some old guy is using it for the next hour inappropriately will tell you that he is holding it for his friend who is also going to use it for an hour. My wife literally got shoved off the leg press by some old man because she wasn't getting off the machine fast enough. Staff doesn't enforce rules if your over 60 but if your under 60 you are responsible for all the rules and whatever rules the guy over seeing the weight area decides are the rules that day. The guy who over sees the weight room doesn't wash his hands after using...
Read moreWe reserved a Ramada right by the lake and the little waterfall to spend the day with family and have a small memorial service for my mother. I got all of the detailed information off of their website, which is put together and organized very well. Then when I knew exactly what I wanted, I called and reserved, where I also received great information and was able to make my reservation in 5 minutes a very friendly, knowledgeable clerk. The Ramada was ready and waiting, with a reserved sign on it. The park was clean, the lake was very nice with a few ducks here and there. Our ramada was very near the community center, where they had clean, indoor bathrooms, vending machines, a water fountain with filtered water, made especially for filling up sports water bottles and much more. The ramada we reserved had two large picnic benches, a barbeque grill and an electrical outlet (which was very handy, since we had phones to charge and we brought electronic equipment. There was also a trash can right there at our site and a shade tree on each side of our covered ramada. At some point during the day, a couple of guys came riding up on golf carts wanting to know how our day was going and asking us to fill...
