Got my Nintendo switch repaired here in the beginning of August. I fell for the Asurion Home+ sales pitch, and signed up idk if that did anything for me in the end. My Nintendo Switch was diagnosed the next day, and repaired by the end of the week. 5/5 for the fan repair, overall cost 124.00 (100.00 for the fan, 24.00/month for Asurion Home+)
Problems started after I picked up my Nintendo switch. For some odd reason my SD card was not reading on the Nintendo device. I could connect the SD card to the computer but it would not pick up on my device. Came to the conclusion that the SD card reader in the switch maybe had not been installed back properly. Sure enough watched a tear down video and the second thing to come off while disassembling a Switch is the SD card reader after the back plate. All of which seemed pretty quick and easy.
Decided it was not worth it to argue with UBreakiFix as to the damage happening from them or not.
Ordered a Switch MicroSD card replacement, mainly for the specific screwdrivers needed, but hey for 9.99 on amazon i got the drivers and a new replacement board.
Once delivered, i popped the back shell off and it was absolutely evident that my SD card was not reattached properly. I pressed the SD card ribbon cables and tested to see if it would read my SD card. Like magnets it worked like magic.
Story 2: Went to cancel my Asurion home+ after being mad about my Switch being fixed for the fan, but improperly reassembled back together. Noticed that with my asurion home+ features include TV mounting and yah boi just got a 75" OLED LG. Well tbh for 49.99 to mount my tv that beats Best Buy which is 150.00. So after calling 3 seperate times because different reps with asurion don't have access to the program to schedule tv mounting. I finally got a good rep. Rep set it up on Tuesday and said someone will call me the following day, to confirm the appointment which was surprisingly available for Thursday. Well Wednesday came and went, no call from anyone. Of course the rep did give me the phone number to call them so i did. This number went to DirectTV corporate where the phone tree hangs up on you. Ok call back Asurion, 3 different reps, 3 different calls. One call transferred me to the phone tree again, two rep said they didn't have access to the tools. Ok i give up...
Thursday comes and goes, no rep shows up or calls. Friday morning i called Asurion to cancel the 49.99 tv mounting service, and cancel the Asurion Home+. This is where Asurion actually was efficient, once i got a rep he quickly refunded me 49.99 for the TV mounting and the previous monthly payment for 24.99 to start the asurion home+.
So overall i would say avoid UBreakiFix unless you have no other option, and if you do confirm the condition of the device before you leave it with them.
TLDR: Asurion Home+ sucks, UbreakiFix will repair your device but probably going not put it back together properly. Do not use Asurion for tv mounting service, they contract with...

In regards to the work that was done in the backroom with my phone, that was a nightmare. I write this review so people are cautious and informed when taking your phone.
06/22/2024 I took my iPhone 14 Pro to get a battery replacement through my Verizon insurance. The phone had nothing wrong with it besides the battery draining faster than usual. No broken screens or anything. They replaced the battery and everything seemed fine until a few hours later my phone starts to turn off and restart on it own after every 5 minutes. I go back 06/23/2024 when they open and was greeted by someone else and I proceed to explain the issues I was having after the battery replacement and that the phone was checked and verified before getting it replaced. I come back a few hours later to the news that they did not find any issues with the battery install and the issue was internal and not something they would even mess with. What irritated me was next he insisted that problem must have already been present with the phone when dropped off instead of taking accountability for the damage they had done. They said at this point you would need to get a new phone but the "good news" was that my insurance would cover that at no cost. That's good news but the issue is they broke a phone and made it worse but did not want to own up to it and try anything to make it right because "I had insurance". What if I didn't? Would they just blame the owner of the device and leave it at that because they know the owner has no way of proving they did something wrong? UbreakIfix did not do anything to fix the issue and I had to order a new phone.
I looked up this issue I was having with the phone after the replacement to see if this had happened to anyone else and after going through tons of apple discussion pages and forums and I come to find out that this issue WOULD and COULD come from opening the device and replacing a battery because is could be as simple as a bad replacement battery or a bad connector ribbon or they nicked a resistor while in there.
Point being is protect yourself before hand and take pictures of your device or video to prove your side of the story just in case you run into a similar problem where you may be blamed for...
Read moreI set up an online appointment to have a battery replaced at my closest store. Then I was called by the technician at the store about my requested appointment for my LG G8X ThinkQ phone. I understood that it was not a typically stocked battery, so I had already purchased one and would be bringing it in, but the tech was more interested if I wanted to purchase some warranty plan but said they could do the swap for $99, so I said I would be in at my already set up appointment time for the swap that I had booked online. I dropped off my phone and specifically asked if the battery I brought with me was ok. They confirmed it and I was assured they would have the phone done in about 5 hours. I (luckily) took a picture of the receipt that I signed and then was handed my copy, but unfortunately it was someone else’s receipt when I needed it later. NO ONE called and or texted me. So, after 5 PM, I tried to look online using the photo I have and there was no status for my workorder. I tried calling the store but no one answered. When I arrived I was told that the tech should have called to explain that the battery was not the same as the one in the phone, but no one had. The staff was apologetic and I was not charged, but I still wasted 4 hours waiting and no one bothered to call, it's not like the store was busy either time I was there. I appreciate that they did not go forward with the battery swap for an incorrect battery, but I was never contacted and was furious when I discovered that I’m now going to wait even longer to fix my battery issues. I found out it would take a few days to the store to order the specific battery required at a price of $40 more than I could get the correct battery online. I retrieved my phone and the battery. About 20 minutes later, my other phone (the number I had left to be called when my original phone was done) rang and the same counter person answered and we discovered their phone system had connected us, as I had not dialed her and she stated she had not dialed me. Very frustrated with the whole experience and not feeling confident with handing my phone over when situations like this occur. It seems to me your business places more emphasis on selling warranty service, not actually correctly...
