Best historic site in Montgomery County! This is not just my opinion - Montco Happenings voters think so too, 2 years in a row! The mansion is beautifully decorated with Governor Pennypacker's own things and houses his numerous collections. The docents are extremely knowledgeable and give great free tours. The site holds many free, family-friendly events all year long. The porch is a serene place to sit, and it's lovely to stroll around the large property. We celebrated our parents 65th wedding anniversary in the building called, the classroom. Never knew you could rent this place. It was just the right size for 35 people, the maximum you can have is 40.
