My two sons and I have been with Phil for the past several years, and for very good reason. The three of us used to go to a place where folks just “cut hair.” Then we learned what a true Barbershop has to offer, and simply put, we won’t ever go back to someone who just cuts hair.
When you arrive at Counter Culture, you are greeted with a new, clean, and bright space and are welcomed by Barbers who are genuinely happy to see you. Phil, the owner, has his chair right up front.
When you sit in a Barber’s chair at Counter Culture, you not only will receive what will likely be the best haircut you have ever received (impeccable, crisp, clean, exactly what you asked for), but you are welcomed into a family that engages in awesome conversations on nearly every conceivable topic: current events, self-care and improvement, life struggles, parenting, Faith, important life milestones, the journey to financial well-being... the list goes on.
At the end of your experience, you will leave Counter Culture both looking and feeling better... as my boys and I do every single time we are there.
One last thing… while you are there, get to know the Barbers. Learn their stories. Listen to them. Each and every one has and is an incredible story. Mad respect.
Thank you Phil for creating a place with a super positive vibe and a place where we can come to get one...
Read moreI’ve enjoying this barber shop for just over a year now. Phil and John have made something special: great haircuts, great atmosphere and great conversation.
I was used to haircut chains or old man barbershops (get the same haircut no matter what you ask for!) where the end result was something you lived with for 2 weeks as it grew out or occasionally were surprised by a good cut. Here, these gentlemen spend time on you, work on their craft, pay attention to detail, get it right and make me look and feel great walking out the door. You will hear them coaching each other, calling out when some detail needs to be improved, etc. Make no mistake: you will get a great haircut here.
Icing on the cake is the conversation. The topic of the day may change, but there’s never any doubt that these men are interested in making a positive impact on those around them. You’ll hear encouragement, life stories, and friendship. I’m grateful for what they’ve shared with me and excited to support them...
