Grab your kids and your bicycles. park at Northwest Elementary Take the Long Trail that's right at the edge of the property of the school and follow it it's probably a couple of miles you get to the park. the park is awesome the playground is great. there are actually bathrooms there so you don't have to worry about trying to find a bathroom. there's a strip center with plenty of food and a gas station a half a mile away so you can grab snacks if necessary and then you ride back to the car take the kids home and they're so tired that they sleep all through the night and you and whoever you're sharing your space with get a nice quiet evening. Also if you push just a little bit further there's a fishing pond right up the way that is stocked and even has a family fishing day every once in awhile where the city comes in and dumps a bunch of fish in the pond and they bring you fishing poles and lures and everything to catch the...

The female lifeguard that greeted us was very nice. Unfortunately, the male teenage lifeguards are rude and bark at the children. The pool was fairly empty and one lifeguard told the kids they could swim in the deep end, but they would need to get out if someone wanted to dive. Soon after one the other lifeguards came over and barked at the four kids in the deep end, "Get Out. I'm diving." Later, after everyone was finished diving, the kids asked if they could go back in the deep end and the same lifeguard said "no"... for no reason, given it was empty. They constantly yell at the kids "walk," and get frustrated when they don't hear them. Maybe turn down the loud music?!?! It cost $10 each to get in. Please consider hiring lifeguards that enjoy their job and...

Day 128967 of the Great Quarantine...

The husband and I couldn't have another meal indoors. So we hopped in the hoopty and went for a drive. We picked up some amazing Jamaican food at Tony's (in Pflugerville). And decided to not eat in the car again. Luckily, we stumbled upon thee cutest park! It was so enjoyable to be able to have a meal in a clean and relaxing environment. The grounds were impeccably maintained. The restrooms could've used a bit of attention. But I blame that on the people who use the facilities and not those that maintain them. #DontBeGross

Anyhow, totally got off topic. Apologies.

Totally check out the park, it's clean, and felt safe. Also, everyone seems to be respecting each other's space....

Local playground has shade and is situated on nearby trail system of the Wells Branch neighborhood. Can be overtaken by summer camps, stroller stride mom groups, homeschooling groups, birthday parties, etc. 9 times out of 10 when asking other moms where they live they are not from the neighborhood. Pavilion is available for reservations and soccer and baseball fields are adjacent to the playground and pool. Baby pool is fenced so you don't have to worry about escaping toddlers. Pool doesn't open until 4pm on Fridays during the summer, otherwise it opens at 10am Monday-Thursday.

This Hidden Gem of a park is in the Wells Branch area. It offers various facilities for the public...including tennis courts and a volleyball area. Also a nice community pool is provided for the warm weather months. There is the historic Wells Branch Homestead dating back to 1855 that you can look into, as well as they provide tours that you can set up in advance for a fee. They have a community center available by reservation, and an extensive playscape area for the young ones. Finally, there are large open space areas for activities. Walking paths are throughout.

There are several activities to do at the park. There is swimming, soccer, basketball courts, and even a little homestead to explore. The park is always filled with community members having a good time, playing together, or reflecting on their day in the quiet partz. The park is dog friendly, kid friendly, mostly accessible by smooth trails but there are areas that have stairs which require someone with limited mobility to seek another route. A guaranteed enjoyable time when at Katherine Fleischer Park.
