This review concerns another job (completed on 8/7/23) that Goodman did for me:
Recently, I had my old HVAC system replaced by Goodman Plumbing. I couldn’t have picked a better company to do the job. Setting up an appointment, getting an estimate, and choosing a day for the work to be done was a flawless process.
The HVAC contractors who came to my home, James Morton and his partner, are “top-shelf” extremely knowledgeable workers. They showed up on time, were friendly/courteous, and performed their work in a patient, clean, and efficient manner. Simply put, they did a fantastic installation job!
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Stanley Oskiera, who was responsible for giving me a quote regarding the work to be done. He went out his way to develop for me a payment plan that was both reasonable and fair.
Lastly, I have already told my family and friends about the excellent work Goodman does, and if the occasion arises, would readily use them in the future. Therefore, I highly recommend Goodman Plumbing Co. Paul Wms (8/10/23)
Recently, I had a plumbing issue which initially involved a clogged sink that ultimately turned out to be a major repair problem ~ cracks throughout my soil stack pipe which led to excessive flooding in my basement. I discovered Goodman Plumbing during a Google search, and was impressed after noting that they are a family-owned company that’s been in business for over 60 years. For my particular repair problem, Goodman Plumbing turned out to be a “godsend.” They are a well-run, organized company that addresses major repairs in a comprehensive and efficient manner. Each aspect of my repair project was handled by a subcontractor specialist. For example, water pipes had to be replaced under my bathroom floor, so tile specialists were called in to re-tile the floor after new water pipes were installed. The entire stack pipe and accompanying water lines were totally replaced by Master Plumber, Bill, and his licensed plumber son. Drain pipe subcontractors were called in to clean and unclog the lower end of the stack pipe. My “point person” for the job was Mike, who provide a free written estimate regarding the total repair costs, and was there for me whenever I needed consultation about a particular aspect of the job. All of Goodman’s employees were punctual, courteous, professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. They arrived on time or before the scheduled appointment time. The secretaries and office personnel were extremely helpful, and possess excellent customer service skills. All of my questions, issues, and concerns were adequately addressed. I was completely satisfied with the overall competent and cost effective job that Goodman Plumbing did in my house, and for that reason, I would readily recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, top-shelf plumbing...
Read moreHad Goodman out mid April to replace a hot water tank and service my boiler. I had to call them back that same week to deal with resulting issues to two radiators leaking and the boiler showing errors. I get radiators being old and failing but they had been fine until they bleed them. The boiler is a 4 year old wiel-mclain that we've never seen errors before they did the work. Now a month and a half later I am still showing errors on the boiler, a pipe leading to brand new hot water tank are now leaking, and I have had to call them out again for this week. I only saw the pipe actually leaking this morning when what I had believed to be a shadow near the hot water tank appeared to got my foot wet as I reset the boiler for the 3rd time this week. Summary: They say they are family owned and 2nd Gen and sure they are but the plumbers we've had out so far need more training. Glad they've cover the issues so far but this is a headache that could have been avoided with another company or if Goodman's workmanship was better.
Update: 6/9/25 - Goodman rep called and make it clear they did not view the leak from the pipe they directly connected to as something they are responsible for. Also noted that while they serviced the boiler they didn't install it and shouldn't be viewed as responsible for the errors thrown up, even with the errors only occuring after they serviced it.
Rep made it clear they have done all they really can and instead of sending someone out tomorrow like was on the schedule already then said he could "maybe" get someone out next week. Obviously he did not want me as a customer anymore. I understand the frustration of working on homes with older piping etc. but if they are willing to take the job to service things then make sure you don't leave customers worse off then before you did the work. As I told them after the first issue, I get that my radiators are old, but if you service them and have any concerns on the condition please just communicate that so I can keep an eye out and not have hardwood floors from 1941 damaged due to leaks and not have a 2 new leaks in my basement directly next to where they worked.
Summary: Avoid this company and find one that has better...
Read moreA year ago I had a hot water heater installed by another company; they did a terrible job and ultimately cost me thousands of dollars. This Saturday, the water heater made a sound so explosive it sounded like a bomb. I went downstairs and saw that this explosion actually blew the control panel door off of the water heater. Concerned that it might literally explode, I called Goodman Plumbing as they had come to the rescue previously when this horribly installed appliance left me without hot water for five days.
It took less than five minutes - literally - from the time I made the call to when Sean, one of Goodman's skilled plumbers, made it to my house. Less than five minutes on a Saturday to respond to a call. He went over everything, made sure the device would be safe and pointed out the dangerous way the water heater had been connected to the main heating source. He was the third person to do this, so it wasn't about a sale. We agreed that this water heater would remain problematic and never allow me more than a few weeks' peace and that it was better to install another one, which he was prepared to do the very next day, even though it was a Sunday. He actually came with a team on Monday afternoon, so I could still put in a full day of work. Even an amateur like me can tell how much more workmanship went into the installation - and for less money than the original water heater cost.
Sean made sure I understood everything about how the heater was installed and how to work it. He taught me how to safely turn off the gas if I ever felt there could be a problem. He explained the process and didn't leave until I understood what had been done. In short, he treated me like a valued customer, and more importantly, a valued person. Everyone I have met from Goodman Plumbing has been caring, respectful and supremely competent. They have responded quickly to my concerns. Sean is the latest among this amazing team to demonstrate what real professionalism looks like and I am truly...
