Magaly Spa — Attraction in Philadelphia

I came back from getting 360 Lipo from Tampa and this was the first place that came up and had good reviews so I bought a 5 Lymphatic Massage package.

These were not lymphatic massages rather people moving fluid around but not towards the direction of which the body would be able to drain.

Barely anyone speaks English.

My third massage was when I really was just through. I was stuck with a needle against my will and without my permission and just made me feel completely violated.

4th massage was THE WORST!!’ I promise this person had no massage training at all!! It’s like someone said yeah just tell them you have experience and they’ll hire you. I had to yell stop at some point because it was just unnecessary with no end resolve.

I ended up finding another lymphatic therapist after my 2nd massage here but just kept going because I had already paid. I could physical see and feel a difference after one session with the other therapist. Other ppl have had success at this place, but it’s a hard pass for me.

*update this was the response from Magaly Spa “ Hello Vic we are very sorry for you negative experience...all of our massage therapists are very prepared and have a lot of experience, we don't play when it comes to our patient's well-being. Your comments are not even near the experience that our clients had in our spa throughout the 16 years in business. Also we are trying to find your file to refund your money but we haven't had luck with that so if you are actually a client of us please contact us to be able to give you a full refund. Thank you!”

I CALLED THEY DID NOT OFFER A REFUND. That was just to try and make it look like they were willing to rectify the situation.

I’m Sooo happy and grateful to have found this amazing of a Spa! The Team at Magaly spa are absolutely Amazing! They're so knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I was a little nervous about seeing results due to being behind in my post-op massages, but I was so wrong! From my first body contour massage I was able to feel the difference in my body and that this really could work for me. I bought a massage package (that was very reasonably priced) and was ready to see how I could contour my body. I had a massage by a lady named Denis, little lady but one powerful woman right there! She was able to help brake down the hard tissue I had built up. When I say she got in there she was beating me up but in such a good way that she gave me the confidence that I would get the results that I wanted. My next session was with a Gem by the name of Miriam! She is such a sweet soul full of positivity, knowledge and a passion for her craft. Miriam has shown me compassion, understanding and motivation far beyond the massages. She’s an expert at what she does and teaches me how to take care of myself at home from the inside out. Miriam has helped me from learning how to use the proper garments/tools to giving me health advice tips to help me strive towards my body and health goals. I'm forever grateful for how she takes care of me and i look forward to seeing her and reaching my goals with her help and motivation!
