My 3 star rating is an overall feel of my past 2 experiences with Raymour. Last two purchases have been mattresses and both times I had an upsetting moment. The first time upon delivery they broke my box spring and didn’t think I would inspect it after noticing their reaction when they were taking it out of the truck so they had to come back with a new one. With my most recent purchase, mattresses again, the sales man ordered a mattress that I didn’t settle with. The mattress he ordered was the “plush”version of the brand I wanted, I originally wanted “cushion firm” due to current back problems and my husband not being a fan of soft beds. (Crazy part is we were sitting on the bed I wanted throughout the entire check out process so I still don’t understand how he mixed up the mattresses.) After noticing my order slip my boyfriend convinced me to just try it out since we have 45 days to do so. Another situation I had was the salesman took it upon himself to add the mattress protectors to my order without consulting with me first. $250 for both. Upon check out another sales man asked if I purchased it and he said yes, again it would’ve been nice to ask me first without assuming I wanted it even though I would’ve liked it. Read moreWe have purchased several pieces of furniture there and have been happy with our purchases. June 7th, we picked up our new cabinet for our electric fireplace. The sales accociate was great and patient. Staff were friendly. This is a heavy piece we brought home, but after removing the plastic we noticed the one door hinge was broken completly and the shelves were missing. I called and spoke with Shareef who apologized and told us to bring it back for a replacement. i explained that we can not lift it ourselves and asked one of our boys to drive over to help. He does not live close by. Shareef spoke to his manager who said a new one would be delivered and the broken one would be picked up. Relieved again excited to receive the cabinet, we were grateful. June 11th the new one came. One of the movers kept looking at the side so I asked about the glass door. He said everything was fine and perfect, then left quickly after asking me to give them a perfect score on the survey. I saw the damage to the side of the cabinet after closing the door. I could not catch them and called once again. The side panel was broken and a scratched filled in circular area was on the bottom. I called immediately but was told they can't come back to retrive it. Read moreThe salesman Mohammad told us the mattress could be returned during 30days, and could be exchanged up to 45days, so we bought a Beautyrest Platinum mattress there. Yet, there was a sink on the mattress just after 1-night sleeping and couldn't get recovery after we waited almost 2 weeks. We went to the store to ask return. However, the same salesman changed his words and told us that the mattress CANNOT be returned, he NEVER told us the mattress can be returned, and it SHOULD be us who misunderstood! (I got a Master degree in the US. I don't think I would misunderstand a simple Yes/No answer, let alone to say both I and my spouse were there and double checked with him!)
He introduced "a manager" there to us. However, that manager did NOT introduce himself to us and showed even rude manner. While I and my spouse were both standing and facing him, and I was explaining to him, he did not watch us but find a sofa to seat by himself!
The "manager" insisted that he was there and was beside us on the first day we came to the store, and the salesman didn't tell us the mattress can be returned. However, can you image that a customer was serviced by both the salesman and his manager in the store at the same time?!
I felt so disappointed on both of them and on that store! We will NEVER buy anything...
