booked a facial polishing at Ruby’s Beauty Studio through a $9 Groupon deal, and honestly, it was a great little self-care moment. I wasn’t expecting a full spa day for that price, but what I got was definitely worth it.
The service was quick—around 15 to 20 minutes—but relaxing. The esthetician massaged my temples and face, which felt amazing after a busy day. The treatment felt more like a facial cleansing and polishing rather than a full facial, but it left my skin feeling fresh and my pores more open.
All the products they used were gentle and didn’t irritate my skin at all, which is super important to me. It didn’t feel harsh or overly perfumed—just clean and simple skincare. The environment was calm, and the staff was friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable from start to finish.
This isn’t a deep treatment facial, so if you’re expecting extractions or masks, this might not be for you. But if you’re looking for a quick, affordable refresh and a moment to relax, it’s definitely worth checking out. Sometimes it just feels good to do something for yourself—even if it’s just 20 minutes of face pampering.
For only $9 I left feeling like I got a little glow-up without spending a ton. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants a quick refresh or is just in the mood to try...
Read moreSoooooo hurt and disappointed. I scheduled an appointment at a time THEY suggested. I live an hour away and drove there only for the place to be locked up and they said they were at lunch. I don't know a professional place that isn't present at the very least 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment. I waited for 20 minutes outside! No one showed up. I was really looking forward to this appointment and to find a place where I can be a regular. Even after I called and expressed my dissatisfaction, they only said sorry and never even tried to rectify it or offer something to help (e.g. free or discounted service). They said they were out for lunch around the corner and were coming right back. They didn't. Had they tried to rectify it, I would've felt better knowing that they truly respected their customer's time and acknowledged they messed up...but no. So upset. Then they claimed they called me beforehand and left a message...I have no record of a call or voicemail. I picked up the phone to call in advance. Now I have to drive an hour back home, for nothing.
Interesting they claimed to have left a voicemail and I checked that day and have ZERO record to this day. How can you cancel an appointment that I was early and on time for? That you were away at lunch for? What ppl will say is...
Read moreThis place is literally a disgrace. I understand why this specific location needs a Groupon to gain business. If you are desperate enough to visit this place make sure you only have cash and made an appointment prior. The door will be locked and the lights on but they will not let you in unless you have an appointment. Also on the door there is a sign that advertises student discounts on waxes and facials. When I called, the discounts applies only for eyebrows. Instead of paying $13 for an eyebrow wax, you will pay $10. Now that price is reasonable for threading, but waxing... no ma'am. There is no parking at this location so watch out for the PPA. The waxer commented on how hairy I was like I didn't go to the establishment for that specific reason.... Mind you, the waxer changes each day so the waxer you had on Monday will not be the same on Tuesday or Wednesday. To conclude, the 4.9 review rating must be for the upper darby location which has more payment options, parking, and walk-in options. If the reviews are legitimate, the people reviewing must be robots because I don't see...
