Great place for both men and women to get hair cuts, styled, buy hair products, and anything else hair related. Cosmetologists are great, prices are competitive, and the results are great. Walk ins are welcome, but would recommend making an appointment. Making appointments has become even easier with their new email appointment system, shampoo and wash is included with hair cut, and great conversations with the staffers is a bonus. Much better than sitting quietly and staring at yourself in the mirror. Plus, they have a house dog who's as viscous as an animal that can endure the occasional belly scratch... by viscous I mean super sweet. Highly recommend. I've been going to Salon Masaya regularly and getting cuts from Maria. The salon itself is clean and comfortable.I felt welcomed with a very friendly, helpful and professional consultation . Maria is creatively inclined and offers great insight, while making sure she listens to and delivers exactly what it is that you are coming in for. The prices are very reasonable and the results and experience are always on point. I haven't had luck previously finding a talented and consistently good stylist and have wound up spending way too much money on cuts I am not satisfied with, or getting okay haircuts with unwelcoming and rushed service. My boyfriend's haircut looks so great! He usually goes to haircuttery (bleh) but I recommend he go here because I heard great things, it's right in the neighborhood, it's super affordable, and it's owned and managed by a male barber which I thought would benefit him as a male who requires a very particular hair style. My boyfriend has somewhat of a receding hairline that he's sometimes self conscious about and Salon Masaya gave him such a good hair cut, you can't even tell! For the first time in years, he doesn't feel like he needs to wear a hat to cover it. I'm so happy he paid a teeeeny bit extra money for a hair cut thats a million times better.
