This was one of the BEST brunches I’ve had in Philly! 💕🫶🏽❤️🩵 Co Op Restaurant & Bar is located inside of The Study, a hotel in the heart of University City. Although the wait for the food was a little long, it was well worth it once I tried these skillet pancakes. I promise you I almost cried 😭😭😭 I can’t wait to go back and try their dinner and happy hour menus as well! #phillyeats #phillyfoodies #upenn #drexel #stjohns

The hotel is centrally located- especially in close proximity to UPenn and Drexel University. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. I also really appreciate how the hotel doesn’t rush you out in the morning. My one critique- for some reason, during the check-in process, my reservation was either incorrectly entered or deleted? Around 11:45 PM, I was awoken to someone attempting to open my door. Apparently, my reservation was not showing up in the computer system. We alerted the front desk of the issue, and then shortly thereafter, we received a call stating that there was no documentation of our reservation and we needed to report to the front desk. I explained to the front desk, that I had made my reservation through Travelocity and did in fact go through the check-in process. Additionally, I provided our reservation confirmation number- however, they wanted to see me in person. So at 12am, I got out of bed, got dressed, just for them to realize the issue was on their end. This was frustrating to say the least. I think what was most frustrating was that it broke my sleep and when it was discovered the issue was on the end of the hotel, nothing was done for my inconvenience. Ohhh then we got back to the hotel room to discover our key cards were deactivated- back down we went. Hopefully this was an isolated episode- however, waking someone up in the middle of the night is annoying and I wish they did a better job a rectifying this issue. Otherwise, if it weren’t for this experience, I would recommend this hotel. Update: I really appreciate the response from the management with regards to my review, and I think that says volumes in terms of the type of establishment. I will defiantly stay again the next time I am in Philadelphia, and provide another update.

I'm giving this a solid 4....big gym which is always appreciated with 3 treadmills, free weights and cross trainers...rooms are pretty standard and there isn't a coffee machine in the room (I may not have read what was in the rooms but I thought this is pretty standard), so asked for a kettle as I had some powdered drinks I bring along my travels. reception service was so so...didnt seem particularly interested to engage and always seemed to have something more to do on their mobiles but that's OK as there isn't much of a crowd so they know you are there and waiting for them. breakfast may be on your own cost (didn't book my room myself so I do not know) but the restaurant was decent. I must say it's a convenient location about 10min away from Philadelphia 30th street station and a decent drive in from the airport. walkable sort of to the other side of the river where you have more activities like the Art Museum etc. pretty safe to get around since you are like in the middle of University City.

It was my first time travelling to the US and I was travelling solo for a conference. The hotel lobby is very inviting, comfortable and clean. I found all of the staff to be genuinely friendly and helpful. I felt very safe at this hotel and in the neighbourhood. The welcome information pack which included candy, chocolate and water was a lovely touch. I didn't use the bar or the restaurant, but food was served at a meet and greet event the evening before my conference and all day for the conference, which also took place at the Study hotel. The food was absolutely beautiful. Cheesesteaks were included for the meet and greet event and my goodness they were delicious!|My room was very specious, the bed was so, so comfortable and the air conditioning was so good. Lots of complimentary bottled water. The noise elimation at the hotel (maybe triple glazed windows) was fantastic. I slept so well as I literelly couldn't hear any of the city noise whatsoever. The en suite was very spacious also, fluffy towels and face cloths. The shower was fantastic and included was beautiful, luxurious comlpimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There was also a complimentary room safe and a hair dryer. The fact that there is no fridge in the room was very disappointing. I really think that Management should review this as many people have medications that need to be stored in a fridge and also many peolpe have special dietry needs and need to bring some food items with them that would need to be also stored in a fridge. There is a grocery store only 2 minutes away. The Fashion District Mall is only a short bus ride away and I highly reccomend the store Burlington there for quality at a good price. I did a City Tour on a hop on hop off bus which started at the visitor centre beside Liberty Bell and I highly reccomend it. Entrance to Liberty Bell is free. Philadeliphia is a beautiful city with lovely people. I will return and stay again at the Study at...

I stayed here for three nights for a conference at Penn. Having attended Penn before, I knew that the area would be noisy and that most places would not be able to block out all of the noise, so I decided to take a chance on a hotel presumably dedicated to helping people study.

It had a lot of pros including being very clean/nice facilities, staff being responsive to preferences and requests, and the excellent room service from the wonderfully delicious Co-op restaurant that delivered delicious omelettes to me at 7AM-7:15AM as promised so that I could make my sessions in time. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The valet parking, though expensive like everywhere else, did their job reliably and well.

It isn't their fault that there was a gas leak and jackhammering until 10:20PM on Thursday night. Or that I am a light sleeper. The walls were slightly thinner than I liked, and I could lightly hear my neighbor's tv and sneeze, although I did not hear any noises after 8PM thankfully. The AC does make a loud noise to start (which woke me up), so I resorted to lowering the room temperature excessively before bed, and then turning off the cool function--keeping the fan on steadily all night, which worked beautifully. The one noise that I found to be extremely challenging was that the doors are extremely loud upon closing, so this would be heard anytime anyone in the hall closed their door.

The blackout curtain is behind the sheer one, and it is decent, but still leaves light around the edges, so remember your eye mask if you care.

Other attendees staying at the Inn at Penn (Hilton) and the Sheraton, said that their hotels were "ok," but from what I read there are facility issues and sound issues on those reviews.

If given a choice today, I would stay at the Study again due to their...
