We've been here before and had a good enough experience to return 3 times. On our fourth visit, we arrived with no reservation. We reserved a table on the spot and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We were okay with this as we had positive visits as mentioned. We were told to watch our phone, but apparently missed an initial text as we discussed the many empty tables we observed. I Must note we were told it's a hard 45 minute wait. We headed to the car, canceled parking and commenced to wait while still being naked at the number of entry tables. We finally get an alert that the table is ready. Return soon after only to be to be told we missed the 15 min window. When we reviewed the texts it came ad we were walking out to get back to the car. The host even mentored that we were outside when the text was sent. (Not even a minute had passed. We mentioned this and acknowledged we were thinking the wait would be 45 minutes as told and we're not thinking the table wild be immediately ready. Nonetheless, we were seated and ordered based on our previous experiences. We order drinks to start, my daughter did not like the Lemonade (made special we were told) and the waitress had a negative reaction when she asked to get another drink instead, we were told we would still be chargedd for it. (we were not) zdid i mention we couldn't complain much because the manager is the one who took care of the reservation with a hard 45 minute. The host literally told us we were right outside and kept walking when they sent the text (ad mentioned we were shocked and discussing the events thinking about the 45 minute wait. We will...
Read moreI don't even know where to start. So I will start with I would never go back or recommend Co-Op to any of my friends or co workers . The restaurant had about 20 people or so in it at the time we arrived. We sat for about five minutes before having our server come up and take our drink order. The drinks took about 10mins to come to us. Then the appetizers arrived about 10 mins later. The onion straws were good. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked. Waiting for our food to come out my glass of water was never refilled. Then after a slong wait the main dish came out. I had the scallops and when I bit into it, it tasted like pure salt. It looked so nice and very appetizing. Looks were very deceiving. Then I sent it back and the next one that they sent out looked like someone just through it on the plate. At this point I had had enough and had the manager come over and told her what had happened. She was very appoligitic and comp the meals and a drink from earlier. Ment nothing to me, because I never had a meal to begin with. I would not ever go back and can't see if this is how they are, they could have many repeat customers. I understand that every place can't always have a good night, but the person I was with said to me she had been here and the service is very slow. I should have went to...
Read moreI have walked past this pla e many times, and today I went in with a friend who had been there before. He ordered a "Smoking Jacket" cocktail and breaded fried calamari, and I ordered a salmon burger and a beer.
My burger came with sweet potato waffle fries that came with very pedestrian ketchup. I am so used to fun sauces that usually accompany sweet potato fries that getting ketchup with them was an unexpected disappointment. The disappointment streak continued with the salmon burger that was layered with a slice of grilled pineapple and a slaw so dry you could use it to exfoliate your feet. The burger was dry, and the only thing in the bun/burger/slaw combo that provided a little juice was the pineapple slice.
As I was about to flag down our waiter, my friend said not to bother because the sauces he got with his calamari (two of them) were bland. Huh. What is it with this place and sauces?
The dessert menu is lazy and uninspired, boring and bland. I am a world-class sweet tooth, but I could not find a single thing to order off that pathetic dessert menu.
I like the idea of the coop-inspired interior that plays with the name, but unless you are, indeed, a coop and not a restaurant, the food has to be...
