Originally posted in the wrong location by accident, so I moved it to the correct location (which is this one in West Philadelphia).

Did not play the games so can’t review on that part. I wouldn’t come for the food.

Coffee was okay, tea was bad to okay. Pancakes were good. Breakfast portion was small and bit sad looking, and the scrambled eggs overdone. I didn’t try my friends’ sandwiches and other food, but overall it seemed rather small portion wise.

We also came during a weekend and there was a pretty long wait (which is fine), but when we were taken upstairs there seemed to be a good amount of empty tables. Perhaps they were reserved, but the whole outdoor section of the second floor was empty and we waited for ~45 minutes for a table of 4.

We were also only given the breakfast menu and only realize there was a lunch menu when people who got seated a bit after us got fries to their table and we were wondering where that was on the menu. Put our name down after 12:30 and was seated around 1, so Im not sure why we weren’t told about the lunch/dinner menu

The staffs and servers were very nice, but I think a bit more training and/or support may be needed. There was just a lot of mistakes like missing items or incorrect items (white bread even though they specifically asked if I wanted sourdough and I said yes). Also taking the silverware even though we were still waiting for an order they missed and just put in. We thought they would’ve just given us new ones with the order but that didn’t happen.

To summarize: long wait, meh to okay food, meh to okay drinks, small portion. I wouldn’t visit again unless some friends REALLY want to play board games. I’ll probably eat...

Summary: Don't charge people for games if your servers are just going to try to rush us out hours before closing time despite ordering food and drinks and apparently this location has a history of charging extra so check your bill twice.

Experience: We had a disappointing experience at this location tonight. We paid $6 per person to play games and ordered food and drinks, but the server repeatedly came by, making us feel rushed even though the place is open until 11 PM.

We were seated upstairs and asked if we were the last customers because of the way he kept rushing us; the server confirmed this, but when we left at 10:30, there were still several people downstairs.I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but there were a few issues worth mentioning.

First, the server repeatedly assumed everyone's gender and addressed us all as 'Miss,' which was uncomfortable. Second, they frequently interrupted our conversations trying to make jokes for no apparent reason when we were just trying to enjoy our time and play our games. Third, I later realized they added extra items to the bill, which I didn’t catch in the moment because we were feeling rushed to pay and leave.

Lastly, while clearing dishes, the server came too close to one of our group members, invading their personal space, which felt awkward and unnecessary.Overall, it was a strange and frustrating experience, and unfortunately, we won’t...

Um, I have been trying places a little at a time since I started at Drexel University. This place didn’t look like something I would have walked into because I thought it was just a coffee shop. Today I walked by it and there was a female taking a photo of her food and it honestly looked REALLY good (Grilled Cheese with Fries) so I decided to make a stop here today and MAN am I glad I did. Landmark Americana makes some fantastic burgers but The Board and Brew has crafted a even better, perfectly juicy, flavor rich, savory tasting a burger that makes you think “how have I not tried this place sooner.

Size of the burger was apparently portioned and sized as well. Price wise, well I paid the same amount for a Burger Shack meal and walked away extremely disappointed with their bland thin patty that tasted like it was reheated and slapped on a McDonald’s crummy roll. Thats not the master piece I had today.

The meal came with fries, they were also perfectly cooked with a beautiful crispy exterior and tasty to the bite. Just the perfect side for the perfect burger.

Customer service was all extremely welcoming, helpful and polite. This place is absolutely a place I will return to. Nice job to their team and the awesome experience I had today. Thank You! Next time I will take a photo before...

I always love coming to The Board and Brew- they’ve got great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Whenever I go I have a great time. It’s nice to play games and be around others having fun. Their board game selection is EXTENSIVE. You’ll never be board (get it?). Whether you like fun and lighthearted or more serious games, they have something for you. They’ve got card games, scary games, family games, space themed games, train themed games, cooperative games, competitive games, and more. They even have their own system to help you pick a game based on what you’re looking for. Coming with friends is a great time! They have space indoors and outdoors which is nice. I haven’t had their food, and I personally would love to see more gluten free options, though they do have some, but the drinks are really good! Their chocolate cherry latte for Valentine’s Day is out of this world! I am a super huge fan, so much that I miss it throughout the rest of the year. If I’m in the area I stop by just for a drink. In addition to good drinks, games, and vibes, their staff is great. Every waiter, waitress, and server I’ve had has been kind, friendly, cool, and attentive.

I'm at the College Park location multiple times a week, so when it came time to visit Philly for My Chemical Romance, I knew this would be a stop. What you can always expect is excellent service (my server, Callie, completely read my mind and brought me ranch before I even asked for it) and a ton of games (we played cool animal facts). However, what I was captivated by the most was the green espresso machine at the entrance of the establishment. Too often, the capitalist machine of American aesthetic falls too quickly into the humdrum repetition of beige, titanium, black and white, or grey. How refreshing to see a business that really gets it; consumers want color! Kermit the Frog once said "it's not easy being green". Well, my friends, it is easy to love green. I hope when you walk into this fine establishment- before your sip your banana brown sugar latte, before you feast on BnB wings, before you settle in for a night of Catan... I hope you see this mean, lean, green machine. I hope it delights you. I hope it enchants you the way I have been enchanted- as though kissed by a princess and finally no longer trapped in the swamp of neutral shades.
