I have a 2005 Honda CRV, which I guess as of this year literally turns 20 but not knowing the month. My exact vehicle was made, I can just say 20 years in general, and the previous owner treated it very well and it looked very good at presentation on the day that I got it over two years ago last November, but with two unfortunate incidences that I caused one in April 2023 and the next almost nearly a year later, caused my antitheft system to go off when locked, but it didn’t constantly go off, it would blow the horn about eight times and then be quiet for quite a while and then go off again randomly and I figured out a small mark around that which luckily didn’t damage any of the electrical system in my vehicle, but it helped me lock it and unlock it without any noise happening, but it wasn’t until the week prior to this one that went by that I talked to Colin that works at this location and explained what’s going on and pretty much explaining that it would be a $95 which it ended up being a $95 and change ahead of time diagnostic look at while I took a ride home and back once I found out they were ready for it and then it took just a flat $95 with one hour of work to disconnect and take the antitheft system out of my vehicle so now as Colin says it works to factory settings where you can press the unlock button twice and then lock the driver side door and then the rest of the three, and then if you hit lock twice, you’ll hear it lock and then hear one horn noise come from the vehicle and that should be standard, so I can now do that now without any alarm going off.
The original diagnostic Lookout was only $95 and change and the disconnecting and taking out of the antitheft system and the hour of work on it only cost me 95 flat so with the money I had saved up for it, I spent less than I thought, I was going to, and still had a little bit of money.
But I gave the tech a little bit of a tip for in my mind clearing this up finally, because it’s a small negative thing that is now a weight off my mind, and Colin was very nice as well and helpful throughout the communication of the whole process and I probably would go there again if I decided I wanted a new system for my vehicle, but as of right now after the year and 3/4 of dealing with the system, the way it was before calling auto express to see if they can either rectify it or take it out and they did do one of the two, I’m okay with not having another one in my vehicle for...
Read moreI went there to replace the radio in my 2000 jeep since the cassette player had failed, and I used that with a cassette adapter to play music from my phone. I was told to arrive at 9AM since only the first 6 people in line were being serviced on any given day. There were already 6 people waiting so I did not get in that day. I should point out that due to covid-19 they are only open Tuesday through Saturday. Because of my work schedule I am only able to stop by on Thursdays.
I returned the following week shortly after 8AM. Some customers were already there but I managed to secure the #6 spot, only to be told that a necessary part was not in stock and would have to be ordered. It would have been nice to have known this the week prior in order to have ordered it then. I paid a small deposit to cover the price of that part and left to await a call saying the part was in.
A month later and still no call, so I called the store. The part was in, but no idea when it had arrived.
The following Thursday I arrived amply early to get the #1 spot. However they did not commence work on my car immediately as they had two installs pending from the previous day. It wasn't until noon that work began. The actual install took about 2 hours. Because of covid-19 the waiting area was closed and I had to wait outside in the hot sun.
I am satisfied with the quality of the product and the installation, but I feel it could have been completed in a more timely fashion. I still plan to return, I will need to upgrade my speakers to get the most out of the new system, but I will be more proactive this time.
Hindsight: the complete details of the proposed work should have been discussed on my first visit and necessary part ordered then. Store should have called me when the part arrived. Since I don't listen to radio but only music on my phone this meant driving in silence for and extended period of time.
Back after three years, this time I will be having a new head unit installed in my wife's cad, similar to the one...
Read moreI wanted to like these guys but they let me down big time. I took 4 speakers, 2 amps, a box and a dash cam to have it installed and the price was on point $1,300 considering I needed all new wiring, a new bass knob, and they were going to cut my box to fix my trunk PERFECTLY. I left and was so happy but on the freeway, I went over a bump and my right speaker stopped playing music. Then it came back in then back out, etc. I knew it had to be a wiring issue and possibly something minuscule. I brought it back the next business day in the morning and Zach blew me off and told me they were too busy to check it out. I asked if I could make an appointment and he said they don’t do appointments. I paid $1,300 so that he could cross his arms at me about it. I guess they already got their money so….. Anyway, my friend called them, Zach got smart with him and so he ripped him a new one. The result was that I would take my care back and they’d check it out. They had it ALL day and when I went to pick it up, Zach told me my speaker was blown and blamed me for changing the settings on the equalizer on MY stereo, LoL. Oh and he recommended some shit speakers he had on the sales floor to replace mine. So that was that. I left really upset. Got home and checked my dash cam that they had installed and got to see that all they did was go in my car and play music. That was them “checking” for the problem. Anyway, I had to take it somewhere else, pay $45 only to find out my speakers AREN’T blown. There were several loose wires on my amp. It took Sun Valley Stereo less than 30 minutes to asses and fix the situation. After paying $1,300, I shouldn’t have had to pay anybody else anything. I’m never going back to these guys and I recommend staying away from them. They’re too busy for their own good and they are very quick to take on new clients when they have not finished quality work from the ones they’ve already...
