Perfect Al pastor street tacos. I try street tacos everywhere I go in Arizona and California. Finding carne asada street tacos done well is fairly easy to do, but most places do not offer pork street tacos, and I've only found them done this well at Tacos El Gordo, which also hails its flavors and menu to the same city as Tacos Tijuana.

The restaurant itself is larger than most street taco shops, which is nice, giving lots of room for groups or big lunch crowds. The menu is simple, and shirt. I like that. Tacos, quesadillas, Milpitas and vampiros. They limit your meat choices to just carne asada and al pastor (pork). This is as it should be.

I tried the tacos, both flavors, and a pork quesadilla. I loved the al pastor tacos. The carne asada was fine but it lacked that hot slightly greasy taste that I've come to associate the best carne asada street tacos. But the clear winner for me was the al pastor quesadilla. Hot, juicy and flavorful.

I also tried the horchata, which was fine but not surprising. The staff is kind, efficient and courteous. The place us clean and not too loud with music. The tables were kept clean and everything seemed well run.

The prices seemed reasonable, at 1.75 per taco, and 5.99 per quesadilla.

Overall they win big on the al pastor entrees, and I think this maybe the best pork street tacos I've had since my last visit to Tacos El Gordo in San Diego.

I usually order from the Tacos Tijuana on 51st & Peoria, but since they were closed on Wednesday, I went to this location instead and placed my usual order: two carne asada burritos and two al pastor tacos for myself and my girlfriend.

Unfortunately, neither of us could finish the carne asada — and I always finish my food. The meat tasted off, left a foul aftertaste, and seemed spoiled or like it had been left out too long. We called and left a voicemail the same night but received no response. I called again the next day, and the manager refused to do anything about it.

To make matters worse, both of us woke up with stomach aches the next morning. Thankfully, we didn’t eat more of it.

Having worked in restaurants for nearly a decade before COVID, I know how customer complaints should be handled — and this was a shameful response. The manager said, “No one else had issues last night, so we’re sorry.” That’s not how you handle food safety or basic...

Ive been here many times. Food is great but when i come in the mornings they take long to attend and take out the food, and the lady who takes the orders is very rude and is demanding to her employees. Today when i came in around 3:45 that same lady yelled very aggressively at the 2 young employees while i was right in front of her waiting for her to take my order. That same young lady that she yelled at actually served my order and was very nice and she did not deserve to get yelled at like that no matter what the situation. i asked the girl what happened with that situation and basically that lady didn’t want her in the front and yelled to get another girl in the front. i asked her if there was a manager that i could talk to and she told me that was the manager. I find that very sad that people like her are in charge and i was even embarrassed for those girls that...

Great food!! Awful customer service. Young lady has no business experience. My family of 27 people ordered a lot of food. Service could not keep up with our order. The lady tried taking a kids drink saying we didn't pay for it. Well, she brought the drink so why can't she keep your order straight? I gave her $5 and said keep the change, money is not the issue. Large family ordering lots of food and they can't give a free drink? Makes sense? Food is cooked to perfection! Excellent meat seasonings! Excellent Hecho En México drinks! Family from El Paso, Juárez in town they enjoyed the experience, freshly made corn tortillas. I put a whole role of tables together and staff didn't mind.
