I regret wasting my time and money here. I called ahead to make an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early walking in behind another man. The lady at the front said “you called, who did you talk to? She must not have looked at the schedule we don’t have time right now come back in 45 minutes”. So I went and sat in my car because I have been getting bad migraines I was hoping a massage would help. When I went back in I asked to use the restroom, when I came out she sent me straight into the room so I undressed and got on the table. Next thing I know there are 4 people standing in the doorway knocking asking if I am pregnant. Yes I am, in my second trimester which is safe but they said they are not doctors and will not massage me. I asked if I could please get a neck massage, my head is really hurting so I got 30 minutes of light pressing on my arms and shoulders.
I am very concerned how they knew I was pregnant considering I was wearing big sweats and a sweatshirt?? My bump is very small and not yet noticeable unless I’m undressed. My only assumption is there must be a camera in that room and they saw me naked.
I left still having a headache, more stressed and tense than when I went in. I was charged $50 for 30 minutes, no oil or pressure and feeling violated. Then they had the audacity to yell at...
Read moreI called and booked a same day appt, arrived 15 mins early for my appt. The receptionist didn't understand English very well, and just instructed me to sit down in the front lobby. After about 10 to 15 minutes of waiting in the lobby I was in as to go back to the room and wait there. In the process of all that it seemed like there was an altercation between the therapist because they had got a little loud and were arguing. I waited in the back room for 15 minutes for the therapist to come in to start the service. When she came in she immediately asked for the time of the appointment I told her 1 hour. She asked immediately for $70. I asked her do you have time to do the massage since it was already now 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment. She repeated three more times to pay the $70 first. I didn't have a problem pain before the appointment started, I didn't like being rushed although I didn't rush her. Was difficult to communicate. As I felt uncomfortable and left the facility and told them never mind I'd like to cancel, the therapist then called out to the receptionist to try to stop me. Like I don't want to do business with you if you don't put your clients...
Read moreI have gone to AZ Massage Retreat a few times in the last several months. Generally, it is a great experience. Today it was not so good.
The therapist today was Lily. It's the first time she has been the therapist for me. I asked for a 60 minute Swedish relaxing massage. Once Lilly started, about 2 minutes into it, she walked out of the room. I had no idea what was going on. I heard her talking to someone, but did not hear the details. I think she is the manager based on the tone of her conversation. She came back and restarted. Several minutes later, she left again. Did not say anything to me when she left.
She came back and resumed. It happened a third time minutes later. Nothing was said to me, she just walked out and closed the door. Now I was getting annoyed but did not say anything. I know things happen, but I felt like I was the furthest thing on her mind. The massage ended around 55 minutes in total. I would have at least expected extending my time to make up for the inconvenience but that did not happen.
I stupidly gave Lily a tip that was not deserved. It's too bad that today has given AZ Massage Retreat a bad...
