I made many calls before calling Igor. I was working with some people on the internet and made a bunch of calls looking for an electronic repair shop for about 3 weeks to find a solution to my 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO dead speedometer. Granted the quad is 21 years old so why go through the hassle and expense of fixing it? This speedometer communicates with the drive system, and it’s important to me to have a record of the miles and hours on this machine. This quad is what people describe as a barn find. The previous owners bought it brand new from a Polaris dealer and used it 1 day then they parked it under the patio and covered it up. It sat there for 18 years until I bought it. It took me 4 months to go through it and replace all the age/heat related wear parts. All eight cv boots, every rubber suspension bushing, the front rubber break line, and every fluid in it etc. It is garage kept now. The speedometer died with 13.5 miles on it, no light, no LCD screen, and no movement on the needle. Polaris does not make it anymore and the used ones are junk but there is one aftermarket speedo that is made for this but at $450.00 and a 60-day warranty is a no go. When I called Igor, he did not know what a Polaris quad was. LOL, I brought the speedometer down to him on a Tuesday with the manual for the electrical schematics. He briefly looked at it and understood what the components were and what they do. He did some testing and came up with a plan to repair it, he gave me a price (more than I thought!) but I agreed. Igor called me that Thursday to tell me it’s done. When I came in to pick it up Igor showed me everything he did to the board and stated that he spent more time on it then he quoted me but stuck to the final amount. You don’t see that anymore! He replaced all the capacitors and he also found that the solder on many of the components was bad. He had to resolder them and many of the components were as small as the tip of the soldering iron. During my time in his shop, we talked about his background, and he asked about mine. I was astounded at the amount of work he has done in aeronautics, and specialty equipment. This is not a shop for your I phone screen or tv. If you have a piece of electronic equipment that does not work, that is obsolete, no parts available, that belongs anywhere in an airplane, CNC machine, antique automotive radio or is just special to you etc. Call Igor!

ERC Electronic Repair Company – "FIX ALL" – Saved Me Thousands I reached out to ERC after my air conditioning company told me I needed to replace the control board and, worse, recommended replacing the entire AC unit. Frustrated and without AC, I called ERC to explore the possibility of repairing the board. From the very first call, ERC stood out. ERC advised me not to blindly accept the diagnosis from AC technicians, explaining that many are either too quick to conclude or lack the thoroughness required for accurate troubleshooting. He encouraged me to personally inspect the control board and, more importantly, to have someone verify the board’s wiring and voltage supply. After going through three different technicians, I finally found one who took the time to do a detailed inspection. It turned out the issue wasn’t the control board at all, it was a frayed wire and incorrect voltage reaching the unit. The AC system was actually in excellent condition. Thanks to ERC’s expert advice and guidance despite the fact that they never physically worked on the unit I avoided spending $20,000 on a completely unnecessary replacement. Their integrity and willingness to walk me through the right steps, even over the phone, was a breath of fresh air. Because of ERC’s guidance, I avoided wasting $20,000 on a new unit I didn’t need. They had nothing to gain from helping me, but still gave me honest, practical advice that saved me thousands. I now trust ERC completely for any electronic repair questions or needs. They’re professional, straightforward, and genuinely looking out for people, not just trying to make a sale. Highly recommended.

Just had Igor spend over three hours diagnosing and repairing the circuit board for my Aqualogic salt cell pool controller, a $1,300 item if purchased new. He replaced one failed relay and two others that showed signs of distress. And then spent another hour replacing what turned out to be a faulty Omron relay from the vendor that he had just replaced. He got right on the job despite being fully booked. He thorough and knowledgeable, he spent a lot of time walking me through his different steps to find the problems and then carefully fixing them. As an aside, he seems to do a lot of business fixing higher end '70s era Pioneer stereo receivers like the one I had back then. I had no idea that people would spend into four figures on fixing one of them. Oh, and a lot of Bose Soundwave radios too.

The remote control for my circa 2001 vintage Kenwood audio-video receiver (AVR) recently developed hiccups. Having done business with Igor and his ERC shop in the past, I took it in a couple of weeks ago for diagnosis and possible repair. After paying the normal ERC diagnosis fee, Igor got back to me within a day and advised that the remote could not be repaired (microprocessor damaged) and that my best bet was to obtain a working replacement. Because of my past experiences with ERC, I completely trusted Igor’s judgment on this issue. When electronic components are involved, he knows his stuff!

The problem then was to find a replacement for a 20+ year outdated specialty item. There were only a couple of options that showed as being available on the internet. However, they were quite expensive, and their conditions were questionable, Nonetheless, Igor came to the rescue and with his ingenuity was able to locate an identical replacement remote for me. Using the local marketplace OfferUp app (with which I was not familiar), he immediately identified a seller in nearby Scottsdale offering not only the same model remote control needed, but also including the associated Kenwood receiver (it was a package deal)—both at a very modest price, considerably less expensive than buying only a replacement remote control elsewhere.

And Igor’s assistance didn’t stop here. Due to the OfferUp seller’s special privacy desires, he had to deal with the seller directly and arrange to purchase and pick up the Kenwood items (both remote and receiver) himself. So—on his own initiative--Igor drove several miles roundtrip to a designated (by the seller) public location, met in-person with the seller there, was able to ascertain product conditions, and completed the payment transaction. This all on my behalf.

The Kenwood AVR and remote that Igor then turned over to me were in excellent shape—hardly used at all. And I now have a replacement remote that works perfectly, plus a spare/backup receiver that I haven’t yet tested, but probably works OK too—both for far less dollars than I would’ve paid for only a replacement remote bought sight unseen elsewhere.

My purpose in relating my latest positive experience with ERC is to convey the extra hoops Igor will go through to serve his customers and earn their complete satisfaction. Highly recommended—five stars...
