Place was busy inside with people sitting and people ordering or waiting for their order near the front. We'd been to Krua many many times before and it was never this busy on a Friday.
The interior has been remodeled and looks great. There are plenty of booths and seating. The lady who took our order over the phone for takeout was so kind and was also the one when I arrived to pickup. We figured we'd try something we had eaten a ton there before and loved: panang curry with chicken and pineapple. They also have crab rangoons (crab puffs) which Krua didn't have. Got some of those as well.
Both dishes were great. The curry had delicious vegetables and the pineapple popped. Every piece of the thin sliced chicken breast was juicy with no weird fatty giblets or oddities. I like things spicy but my wife prefers less spice. The level 1 (they have like 7 levels of spice) was flavorful without requiring us to blow our nose. The crab puffs were crunchy, the sauce for them was great, not just basic sweet and sour (Krua had a regular orange syrup sweet and sour).
We will definitely be back. Probably sit down next time. Lots of other dishes we love that we'll have to try here as well.
Where Krua sometimes felt like the famous Seinfeld episode of the Soup Nazi (great food, strict ordering rules, not very welcoming), Taste of Thai feels far different in...

When enter you have a sense of calm and greeted with a genuine smile of the Hostess who promptly sat us done.
We order an appetizer of chicken satay and entree of Massaman Curry with chicken...
Our spice level is pure white they empathically understood and adjusted the spice level to accommodate our taste.
First was the Satay which was tender and favorable without the dipping sauce. When you dipped the Satay into the sauces just elevated the chicken to a a new taste level. We had a teriyaki which to our palate was good yet the peanut dipping sauce AMAZING!
Our entree Massaman Peanut Curry with Chicken. The spice level was Hot Cheetos which was pushing our threshold...again white spice tolerance đ. Yet so perfectly balance with the sweetness of the peanut curry and the perfect readiness of potatoes, chicken, and rice.
When we were done we left happily satisfied tummies and attitude of "can't wait to come back and have a another wonderful...
Read moreFirst time here, and I absolutely never give 1 star reviews. Our waitress was very condescending to start. The menu prices are completely different, blacked out with a sharpie, and you have to scan the QR to see their new higher prices even though they just recently opened .I have multiple severe food allergies, but due to them having premade, frozen product, I was very limited on what I could order. I was told what I ordered was safe, but within 10 minutes,I knew they were wrong. I immediately started showing signs of ingesting the allergy, which in turn,is not good . We had to get our own silverware after it was removed, and when asking if they carried certain menu items, she laughed. The food is a mix of multiple nationalities, not Thai directly ,which was also confusing. Pre judging your customers based on their appearance is very bad business. As a chef and restaurant professional, this place is not going to last if they continue their...
