Disappointed with my last service I received before a vacation, which is a shame because I've been here a number of times in the past and had good experiences.
My nail technician, Emma, was rude. I was misunderstanding something she was saying to me (I am a nail techniques noob) and instead of having the patience to explain, she raised her voice at me and was indignant.
My dip manicure felt rushed and she made snarky comments throughout the process. She actually nicked two of my proximal folds. I had pain and scabbing after.
The dip manicure lasted 6 days before one nail lifted almost completely. Within 1-2 weeks most of the nails started lifting. While I'm not an expert, dip nails should last 3-4 weeks. I believe my last dip manicure from this place lasted 3 weeks.
If nails are lifting within a week it means that they weren't prepped or applied properly. It seems to me like the cuticles were flooded because the acrylic has a hump/raised edge along the bottom, which I believe contributed to the premature lifting.
On a positive note, I did get almost exactly what I asked for and she did do a good job on the design. They looked great when I walked out (not perfect, but great). However they just did not last, which is disappointing for an $80 service.
My pedicure was handled by another technician. He did a good job, but I did experience some pain when he was trimming my nails. I don't think that's normal. However, my regular pedicure does still look good 3 weeks later, so overall I'm happy with the quality of the pedicure.
Not sure if I will come back here for dip powder nails due to this experience, but I do recommend...
Read moreBeware of Double Dipping Charges! It seems they've mastered the art of giving a whole new meaning to the phrase "do you want Dip today?" Instead of offering you an extra dip for your chips, they're doubling up on charges without a second thought.
Have you ever left this place feeling utterly confused after paying, wondering if you've been taken for a ride? Well, you're not alone. The "Additional Services" section of their menu is where the it all happens. They'll charge you for filing your nails, removing polish from prior visits, and even reapplying the same polish! It's like paying twice for the same thing.
And if you dare to indulge in a Mani-Pedi, don't forget to remind them about the promised $5 off discount, because they conveniently "forget" to apply it. It's frustrating to say the least.
So, pay close attention to your bill and don't hesitate to question those questionable charges. Otherwise, you might end up sitting in your car scratching your head in disbelief, wondering why you ever walked through...
Read moreI wanted a nail shop to have when I’m in the area so I tried out this place today. Now it is Super Bowl Sunday- but who cares lol, this isn’t a review of people on the road… now, I waited over an hour and 30; I get serviced often the wait was no problem. I was thirsty tho so complimentary water in nail shop shouldn’t be a hard ask lol.. no complaints that’s just a tip for them, now, it’s time to get my nails done. I’m a Virgo and neat freak.. The techs gloves were FILTHY. I was SO UNCOMFORTABLE but I did not say a word about it.. Its time to glue my nails on, the nails are not sticking- MAJOR red flag as I mentioned I get serviced often.. so I ask “What’s the policy if a nail breaks” I asked 5x and idk if she couldn’t understand me but I did not get a proper response. So then I ask “ how much are these nails” ( I came in with a inspo pic) LOL the price blew me away to say the least. I asked her politely to remove the nails and...
