Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Phoenix

This morning my husband asked on the way in to work what I wanted for breakfast and I said "lets get a bagel, we haven't had one in a while" We have bagels quite often and this is the store we come to. Not because we WANT to come here, but because it is the only bagel shop on the way to work. Every single time and I mean ever single time I get a bagel I ask for extra schmeer because the regular order looks like the waved the cream cheese over the top and whatever jumps on is what you get. Even when I order extra (which I am happy to pay for) I have to check, and as you can imagine every time even after I check, there is NEVER extra cream cheese. I used to write to the corporate office myself and let them know and they'll send me a coupon for a free one, but I really don't need a free bagel. I'm HAPPY to pay for them. Well after today, I am no longer going to write to the head office and complain as it is a waste of my time and it does absolutely NOTHING for their quality control. Today I decided I would try something different and save myself the hassle of checking to see if my bagel was right and just ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches. With tax they cost nearly $6.00. Again the cost isn't the issue here. What I got for it was this disgusting thrown together pathetic sandwich. I'm not going to bother with writing to the head office to get yet again another free bagel that I'd still have to check blah blah blah. I'm taking it right here so that others can know to stay away from this company. I'm going to get up an extra 15 minutes early and go to Chompies when I want a bagel. I've had it with you guys. Oh, the good thing that did happen this morning is that the Starbucks next door actually knows how to treat people and they do it with a smile on their face. You suck. Yes I am that mad. Next stop......

I had already went to Panera bread to get my favorite bagels a glass of chai and sit at a table to start my day. Panera had no bagels whatsoever at 9:00 a.m. I was very upset. They recommend Einstein... Duh. I go to the nearest Einstein to get a couple bagels and a glass of chai and sit at a table. I order it. I ordered a hot chai... They made me a cold chai. I was not surprised. A nicely said in a very monotone voice that I ordered hot. And then I hear them mumbling about the hot machine is not working. They tell me the hot machine is not working. I ask the woman if she has a revolver... This day is getting really bad fast. Tells me they can give me a refund. I'm basically starting to cry cuz I am so done with trying to start this day. I get two bagels and a refund and I leave. If your company subsists on bagels and drinks... You should never run out of bagels and you should always have secondary machines to backup whatever machines may break down for your drinks. If your company exists on making drinks for bagels and you don't have secondary machines to back up the primary machines.... Well I guess it doesn't matter if you can serve drinks or not does it? Cuz we have no choices when we want to sit down with a drink and a good bagel there are very limited choices for this. But who cares corporations are run by people who know how to make the most money by providing the least amount of service and comfort to those whose money they take! Except Amazon of course. We get service and comfort while the workers eat all the suffering and...

This establishment just lost my business, I won’t return. I stopped by to get a bagel an nova lox around 6:45am. It wasn’t crowded but the staff was overwhelmed. In the post Covid world, this business pays more attention to pick-up orders then to customers who physically come in to place orders.

The first sign of trouble is 4 people in front of me placed their orders, but then I had to wait at least 10 minutes before they came back to take mine. After placing my order, ( and 5 others who since walked in). I had to wait another 5 to 7 minutes to make a payment. My food was already prepped and waiting before they took my payment.

I found a seat and opened my food and discovered even though I requested my bagel to be toasted, it was not, (somehow in my world you can’t serve an un-toasted bagel especially if requested to be toasted). This was the last straw. I returned to the cash register, asked for my money back. They still charged me for the coffee on my order.
