If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service! One of their stylists did not do a great job on my daughter's haircut when she was home on break from college in Texas. My daughter realized when she got back and tried to style her hair that it was uneven. But since she was coming back to Scottsdale in a few weeks, I called and made an appointment for her so the stylist could fix it. It was just a trim to make sure the layers on both sides were even, and I was assured the stylist would make it right. When my daughter came back, the stylist insisted on washing and blow drying the hair first, then she evened up the cut. My daughter thanked her and left the salon. Five minutes later, the salon receptionist called and said my daughter forgot to pay! I got on the phone and asked why, since this was just a fix of something the stylist got wrong the first time. I was told we owed $80 because the stylist washed and blow dried her hair also, and that's what the service cost. And--they said because my daughter didn't come back right away, they would charge the full amount. Never did anyone, including the stylist, tell either of us that there would be a charge to fix THEIR mistake. I came back into the salon and saw the stylist (I was also a client, and considered her a friend) just waiting around until her next client was done with her shampoo, and she saw me standing there, but wouldn't even come and apologize for the mixup. Hey guys I had the worst experience and I didn't even get my hair done . I scheduled in a month in advance with Kiana just to get cancel in the day of my appointment . In the day I scheduled my appointment I was very clear on what I wanted. They called me to send them pictures of my hair and I did that and they said that they could do that for me. After that they called me to change my scheduled time which it was fine for me I mentioned to them as long as I was gonna get my hair done . Comes the day of my appointment they said it would be a consultation cause Kiana wouldn't have time to do my hair . After I waited a month and also she said she can do my hair and also getting my appointment changed !!! Totally unprofessional and no communication was very disappointed after all the changing . Never in my life thinking of going to this salon . My hair is blonde just wanted to darken it a bit . The front desk also mentioned Kiana wasn't experienced in doing that when she could've been clear about that in the beginning and I wouldn't have gone in the beginning with her . I had such a bad experience at Etch . On my first visit, I spent about 10 minutes telling the stylist about what I wanted. I booked an appointment for highlights. NOT color and highlights. I explained to the stylist that my BASE color was just 3 WEEKS old, and I did NOT want that changed. I just wanted blonde highlights. She started in the back at the nape of my neck. I had no idea that she was changing my base color as she did highlights. I was there two hours and that includes 30 minutes at the shampoo bowl. When the color was revealed........it was a dirty ash blond all over. The color she used had bled into my blonde highlights. I had planned to leave with wet hair because I had rather blow it dry myself. It looked very dark when left the salon, and when it dried I was shocked at the results, I had paid almost $300,00 for a head of ash blonde hair!!! I text the stylist back to tell her what had happened. She suggested that I come back to allow her to fix it. I ask for a PARTIAL refund.. Bottom line is that my hair looked horrible!
