Tonight's visit was very disappointing! I know it is the Holiday season and this makes year two for dining here on Christmas Eve. It was my sons Birthday and this is where he chose for the second year.
To start off when we were seated the silverware that was laying on the table not only had spots on them, but many of them still had food particles remaining as well. We asked the server to bring a couple of cups of hot water. After placing the silverware in the water the food particles began floating in the water. We were served butter pads in a dirty bowl as well. So I asked for the manager so they could see.
One of the three managers approached our table and his response was oh that's not good I will get you more. Well but this time I had cleaned what it and just wanted to move on with the dinner. Then the table was approached by the female manager for the night with more silverware laying on a tray. She asked if she could replace the silverware and assured us that they were brand new and had just came out the box and they washed them. So we took the additional silverware.
At this time orders are placed and it seemed like forever, for us to begin receiving our meal. Rightly so we've become a bit agitated. The first thing out was an appetizer Dynamite Shrimp I believe. The Shrimp was gummy and not appetizing at all, so that went back. Then manager again came over and offered to replace it with something else on the house. We finally decided to take her up on the offer. At the same time our food is now hitting the table. There was five adults and one teen and two children in our party.
The children's and teens food came out fine, can't say the same for the adults. I had the Cashew Chicken and it looked as if it had sat under a heating lamp. The rice was hard and the chicken was dried out. The two orders of the Macaroni Balls outer coating was visually burnt and tasted that way as well. The mashed potatoes on the Chicken Madeira (both plates) were not hot. The Shrimp Scampi was also dry. Not to mention we had to send the Sprite back several times as it was out of syrup.
Now we've spent quite a bit of time here and the food and service has been less than pleasing. We are still hungry and over it. The server began taking the food back off the table and the manager comes back with the bill. Now we had already asked our server to separate the bill. And when approached with a bill for $120 I asked what I was paying for and the Manager at this time gave me such a look. I then advised what we had spoken with the server about, and then she attempts to apologize. It was at that I advised her in a response to her question that I probably wouldn't be back again! That this was one of the worst visits.
This is where if I wasn't already, I became truly offended. She proceeded to tell me that she had taken off $114 off our bill as if that was to make what happened better. I politely advised her that it didn't matter what she took off (when she hadn't taken anything off at that time but the charge for all of the meals that were sent back to the kitchen uneaten) but what mattered was the very poor experience we had just had. We were there for a Birthday dinner and we were prepared to pay for our meal. I would have rather had better food, and better service than her "reducing a bill". Again the biggest portion of what was taken off, were the uneaten meals that were either dry or burnt. So how you were going to charge me for meals that were not eaten was beyond me.
Although this review does not include all of the things that went wrong with this dinner, I just highlighted a few to show that I did give them chance after chance to redeem the visit.

Read moreI had a bad customer service experience with this location about 2 months ago. I made my issues known to management. As a way of apologizing, manager Adam sent a gift card and invited me to return to the location so they could show me that my experience was not a normal occurrence. I had already decided not to return to this location, but my wife convinced me to give them a second chance. I gave Cheesecake Factory a second shot this past Friday evening. Upon arrival, I encountered the same employee I had issues with on my previous visit. I ordered Cinnabon, Oreo cookie, and a tuxedo cheesecake. But before the employee opened the case to retrieve the cheesecakes, I asked her to change the tuxedo to a cherry chocolate cheesecake, at which time she scoffed to apparently express contempt or irritation at my selection change. At that point, I decided to never return to the Scottsdale location again. My order was rang up by another employee, while the woman retrieving my order bagged everything up and quite literally shoved the bag across the counter at me. No “thank you” or “have a nice day,” generally the same type rudeness I experienced during my previous visit. But my experience didn’t end there. When I returned home, I had additional issues. First, two of the cheesecakes were a complete mess, with cream everywhere. The presentation was not there. I’m not looking for something picture perfect, but I expected the cheesecake and cream to be separate. It was so bad that my wife asked if I had dropped the bag on the way home. Second, one of my items was wrong. I asked for an Oreo cookie cheesecake, but received a tuxedo cheesecake instead. I know I changed my order from a tuxedo to cherry chocolate, but I did reiterate my new order after the change.
