Haircuts and Chill — Attraction in Phoenix

I got an email the other day letting me know that Jacob, my barber for the last couple of years, was moving to a new shop – Haircuts and Chill. After a few minutes of panic, I realized that Haircuts and Chill is right up 16th Street and is owned by the same guy who owns Uptown Barber where he was working. Big sigh of relief – nothing’s really changing. The last thing I want to do is find a new barber. Jacob’s a great guy and a great barber. He’s easy to talk to if you feel like talking. He’s really easy going and listens closely to how you’d like to have your hair cut – just a trim, cutting it much shorter, or maybe a big change. Jacob has helped me through all three. He’s up all the new hair style trends, as well as working with your individual style. And after your cut is finished, he places a warm, wet towel over your head while using a message devise to give you an upper back message. All very relaxing and a great way to finish up your haircut. I’ve been seeing Jacob for about a year now, and I’m so glad he’s at Haircuts and Chill! I’m usually really picky when it comes to finding a good barber, especially since I keep my head shaved, but he’s absolutely the best. He takes great care of my bald head, pays attention to the details, and always makes sure my skin is treated right.

The experience honestly feels like going to see my primary care doc—he knows me, understands what works for me, and makes sure I leave feeling confident and well taken care of. On top of that, the customer service is top-notch!

I’ve been seeing Russ for +6 years! He is always very friendly and does a damn good job on my haircut. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking for a great barber. I believe there are 3 different shops in this area (Uptown Barbershop & Barber Social being the other two) with the same owner and I’ve gotten excellent service at the 2 I’ve been to. My only issue is that if your barber moves location it’s hard to figure that out on the booking app unless you look at the list for each location. Since all 3 shops are literally 1/4 mile from each other, I’d think it’d be easier to find and book your barber on a single large list and then be told which location...
