Poor Little Rich Girl — Local services in Phoenix

I went in to sell a few things, and although they said they will buy whenever they’re open, the person working said they weren’t buying today and to come back Tuesday. The website also made it sound like they buy items outright, but I was told when I went in that it’s all consignment.

I also don’t believe that the contract they give is really a good idea for anyone considering consignment. If you’re consigning, I suggest you read the contract really well before leaving your items. At 25-30%, they are the lowest percentage payout I’ve seen in town. When the website says what they are ‘buying’ it kind of makes me shake my head because I was told when I went in that there was no direct buying, and everything was done under consignment. Even then, if the items don’t sell within 60 days, the company keeps the items and if they sell they keep all the money from that as well. 60 days is an extremely short time for that kind of turnaround. They also will not give any items back before the 60 days are up if they’re priced at less than $75. After 10 days they can lower the price at their discretion, so even if it starts at $75, it may not end there. I know that donating items after a certain period of time is common practice in this industry, but I’m not sure why so many people agree to it.

I did like the layout of the store, it was done extremely well, and it had a small boutique feel. Everything I saw was in extremely good condition, and very clean. The nice thing about the store being small was that there was care in the placement of every item, and it wasn’t so cluttered that items would get lost or destroyed by the customers before they were sold.

Both good and not-so-good, I am undecided about how I feel...

This use to be my favorite online store to shop at. I live in Atlanta and I ordered from here all the time. I recently placed an order for a pair of lulu pants and a top. Both arrived yesterday in the mail. I tried them on this morning and saw that there was a run and a rip in the pants. I reached out to the Owner Cat to let her know. I did not even ask for a refund or return and she told me that there were notes in my account (see screen shots) that I had several returns. Everyone knows this boutique is final sale, and I would have to pay for shipping to return, so most items wouldn’t even be worth JC returning if I had to pay shipping. I have been ordering from them for years and I have had one return due to size/fit. Cat herself allowed me to return them because it was a brand that sold very well, and I returned them, for a store credit at 90% of what I paid for them. I paid my own shipping and I and I promptly ordered new merchandise. Since then, I have ordered multiple times from her. In the past two month alone, I’ve probably spent 300 dollars at this store. To insinuate that I would rip a pair of $30 pants, just so I could send them back, is insulting, considering how much I spend in this store. I sent my original j quiet on Instagram, as this where I normally engage with PLRG, and when I went back on IG, to my surprise, cat and her team had blocked my account. I understand that the country is stressed right now and business is not great, and no one wants to lose money, but this is a terrible way to treat loyal customers who have been ordering from you for years. I will not be shopping here again and I will be sure that my friends do not shop here...

The staff at Poor Little Rich Girl were friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to assist me with my shopping. They were knowledgeable about the products and gave me great recommendations.

But the real standout of this store was the selection of clothes. They have a wide range of high-quality brands and styles at affordable prices. I was able to find everything I needed, and the staff helped me locate hard-to-find items.

I also appreciated the atmosphere of the store. It was clean and well-maintained, and the decor was stylish and on-trend. It was a pleasure to shop in this store.
