Why 1 star and not 5 stars? Well let me tell you. Dinning out is not only just about the food on your plate but it is the whole experience. It's all about how the host welcomes the guest and treats them nicely while feeding them. The food was exquisite but the service was not! I don't know what bothered my server the most me being a party of 1 person or just me? Other guests and tables occupied her. She seemed to be just getting by my service of 1 as if it was by force :-) - I could careless for such ridiculous attitude at an eatery of such standards but this is exactly how it felt, extremely dull and blase'. I observed that she was fine with every other group of guests and tables around me with the usual excitement, chattiness, and cheery banter but I could feel the frosty fake forced smile in all the 3 interactions she had with me. What a shame! And I still tipped her the customary 20% of which she didn't earn 1% of it. I could have just walked across the room and grabbed my own food and probably would have had a much better experience doing it. Servers should not accept guests if they have any issue serving them or they are not happy to serve them food with a good attitude. Good food served with a crummy bare minimum attitude leaves a bad taste in your mouth and average food served with a great attitude .. you probably don't even remember what you ate! Its all in the experience and I had a bad dinning experience tonight. The food gets 5 stars the server gets nothing as she did nothing to make me feel welcomed during my entire dinning stay of over an hour. What a way to end an otherwise...

Update 3/22/25:

Wow. This restaurant continues to be stunning. We split a Caesar salad, which was delicious. It was accompanied by cocktails, which were perfect. She ordered the ciopinno with garlic and butter, and I ordered the ciopinno with marinar. Both were served perfectly and piping hot. They were amazingly delicious.

Let's also call out our server, Mattie. She was terrific and put the icing on an already perfect dinner. We LOVE eating here!

I've reviewed this restaurant before--5 stars back then. Well, nothing has changed, but I have to call out some really terrific service. Monica was our server and she was terrific. It was a busy night, but she ensured we were well taken care of. Everything we ordered was accurate, served timely, and we couldn't ask for a better server. But that's not why I'm writing tonight.

I booked a table through Open Table, but I got the date wrong. I accidentally booked it for next week. At the reception desk, Candy, Pauline, and Logan swiftly found us a booth. They also changed our reservation to tonight so we'd get our Open Table points. This on a very busy evening!

Not only is the food fantastic--and if you don't have the ciopinno with the pasta, you're not paying attention--but their desire to ensure we had a great dining experience was outstanding. Oh, and the wine list is both delicious and won't break the bank.

Thank you, Monica, Logan, Candy, and Pauline. The food was amazing, but your service and support was...

I have to say that usually as soon as I have an issue with their service I take off a star automatically and it's only downhill from there.

Our initial server took our order for appetizers and drinks which she brought out. After that, we saw her pass by numerous times without coming back to check on us or take our order for entrees. A little bit after that, another server, Sean, brought some bread and butter for us and, he too, never came back to check on us or take our order for entrees. It was at least 20 mins of us seeing him walk past us to every other table further serving them.

At one point he looked like he was walking our way, but then turned around a disappeared for about 5 mins. We finished our appetizer and were just waiting for someone to come back. Our initial server never came back at all. When Sean finally came to our table, I let him know that someone shouldve communicated to us that our inital server went on break or whatever happened to her. I also told him that he should've checked on us sooner so that we couldve ordered our entrees already. He apologized.

From that point on he was a great server! Checked on us a couple times during our meal and offered to box up remaining food for us to go. He then brought out a free Creme Brulee dessert to comp us for our troubles, which was very nice of him.

Because he was able to turn this experience around, I gave back the star initially taken. Great dining experience, great food, and...

Let me preface with, my husband and I have been here many times before, but tonight (at their new location) was not great. I was out celebrating my birthday with my husband. The staff was very friendly and they were quite busy so I cut them a break for where the service lacked a little. We ordered crab cakes and clam chowder for appetizers. The crab cakes were delicious! My husband loved the NE clam chowder. For entrees, my husband got the gemelli pasta (the pesto one with shrimp and scallops), which we’ve had before and as always, it was delicious! Unfortunately, I ordered the rainbow trout and while apparently it’s “normal” to have a bone or two, I was getting mouthfuls. I don’t like being scared of eating my food, nor do I ever send back food even if I hate it. But my husband was adamant that a solution be offered. While the chef/cook was willing to prepare a new fish, it was communicated to me that there would still be bones. Instead, the waiter suggested halibut (which I happen to like), so I agreed. It ended up being good — much better than the trout, honestly. Hated the asparagus. And the scalloped potatoes were amazing! Planned on getting dessert, but by the time they redid my entree, we were just ready to go. Can’t say we’ll be back anytime soon. Was utterly disappointed this time. *the clam chowder does not come with the pepper lol my husband likes pepper on everything **pictured is the Halibut ***also pictured are the bones from the trout

Updating this review because these visits just keep getting better! We brought our friends here for my fiancé's birthday and everyone enjoyed their experience beyond expectation. We had a group of 7 and most of them hadn't tried raw oysters. Got a couple dozen and one of our friends ended up ordering more because they liked them so much! The Swordfish was the star dish for half of them as well. Bluewater also had added NON ALCOHOLIC COCKTAILS!!! Incredible additions and much appreciated. They were delicious! Also, the pesto cream pasta with the scallops and shrimp was absolutely incredible, I wanted to lick the plate clean!!! This was a great experience, as usual, but it was even more special to be able to share it with dear friends who also loved it as much as we do. You've got lifetime customers here, and we look forward to our next visit. Great service and recommendations from our server, too! If you're ever torn between dishes, just ASK! You'll never be disappointed. We just love this place, and our next visit can't come soon enough!!! Shoutout to our server, the bartender, and the manager, for ensuring a smooth and incredible experience for all your patrons. 100000/10 recommended 👌
