Kabob Grill N Go — Attraction in Phoenix

My roommate has been picking up dinner here off and on for awhile now and it is always great! About a week ago or so I was working in the area and told her to call in our order and I would pick it up. Went in and the lady at the front counter immediately greeted me and was super friendly. I got there early and instead of the random stand around stare at your phone scene that we usually do as customers she engaged me in conversation. We even talked about making homemade pasta in our spare times. The owner or chef not sure came out and greeted me and every other customer I saw while I was there. Him and the lady behind the counter made me feel like I was a family friend or even family when I had never met them before. Such a great atmosphere don't be fooled that it is "just" a counter when you walk in. It is clean and very professional but a real laid back atmosphere.

Now the food lol...I literally can't begin to explain just how good it is. I've always got the chicken tenders which is the best chicken I've had anywhere hands down. But I finally gave in and tried the chicken thighs because my roommate said the owner would always tell her I should try it. Wow is it good! I don't know which I prefer but I do know this place now makes my 2 favorite chicken meals haha my roommate always gets her Koobideh and says it's the best she has ever had. She has also told me they are always super friendly to her when she comes in and they always recognize her as a previous customer (which is very cool)

The food is so good that if you don't call ahead you may not get a dish that day since everything is made fresh daily. Which is how it should be.

And side note the pepper and tomatoes that come with the plate are so dang good and literally they are just grilled lol they aren't doing anything "special" with the veggies but dang they are bomb.

If you haven't ate here before and you are worried because of the price just realize 1. The quality is literally the best. and 2. The plates are HUGE! When we get our 2 plates we 100% always have 4 meals at minimum and sometimes 5 even. Our bill is always about $60...for 4 meals that equals $15/meal which is around the price of some garbage fast food. So it isn't actually expensive. Again it is also just worth it lol

I've been an occasional customer for a couple of years now and I thought I'd finally leave a review and give recognition to establishments that do right by their customers.

This place, while quite small is packed with huge flavor and huge personalities! Tony and his wife are always in a happy go getter welcoming mood and have always been accommodating. Every time I've walked in here to order food it feels more like I'm at their house being invited over for dinner than a restraunt and it's a very nice experience in a big city like Phoenix to have something like that.

I personally prefer the chicken tenders, however everything on the menu I've tried has been amazing and absolutely unique. My 2nd favorite would have to the the pork ribs. The shirazi salad and chumichurri sauce pairs really well with the meats and is an extremely refreshing bite. There has been no other place like this that I have found in Arizona and I doubt there are many if any that compare around the U.S.

I only wish I could come and eat more often however my work schedule is a bit awkward and doesn't allow me to visit much.

I have brought coworkers and my girlfriend has brought her family here. Each and everyone of them was shocked on their very first bite and was amazed at just how flavorful everything was. My one coworker who is from Guam said it was the best thing he's ever had in his life and wanted to go back the next day and kept thinking about it. My girlfriends mother, after taking her first bite also had the same reaction and even went back in and had to order more food. She couldn't believe kebabs could be that good, and her and her husband have traveled across the country in their earlier days. She also said it was the best kebabs she'd ever had.

This place has blown up, and rightfully so. A little part of me wishes it was still a well known secret for friends and family but I am ecstatic to see their business thriving and that they survived during covid. If anyone deserves success in the food business....

While eating a boneless chicken thigh I bit down on a bone. Biting on an unexpected bone cracked my tooth to the nerve!!!! Two weeks prior I had my annual exam and the dentist substantiates no cracks!

I spoke to owner who called me multiple times! He admitted worrying about his vendor and the boneless thighs having bones. I clearly indicated I was acting with respect and felt they should be aware of the incident! Did NOT ask for anything!

Owner was kind and told me he would help in anyway. Later that day his wife /co owner surprisingly called. She also mentioned worrying about bones. She asked me to text her the meals we ordered which I did. Her reply was “thought so”! She planned to involved vendor and understood my situation and wanted to help.

Minutes after my chat with wife I received call number 5. This call turned the incident around on me. I was called sweetheart which was 100 percent discriminating. He insisted I was rude and he would not talk to me anymore! Sir, you called me… multiple times! He insinuated I was not telling the truth!!!

I am guessing the husband wasn’t on board with the wife holding the vendor accountable. This might result in losing a primary vendor to the restaurant!

I live 30 minutes from this place and ordered take out because of the reviews. I support small businesses!!!

I had no intentions of posting (things happens) but the shocking blame deflecting from personal accountability is my reason for this review.

Yes, this place has multiple stars and it brought me here!!! This is an isolated event which deserves accountability and letting others know the owners have concern for bones in a boneless dish!!! Of course, the establishment will reply in a manner to deflect from a situation which caused injury. Thank you...
