This salon was 5/5 until a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to find a salon I liked and stick to it like I did in New York. I found this place with great reviews and relatively close to my house and job so it was perfect. First few times it was great. Then I decided to start doing hard gel because itās the type of nail service I like and the first time was fantastic. Annie did great and lasted 5 weeks. I happily went back for a fill in and that is what messed up my experience. The person who did my pedicure was going to skip the massage and when I asked her about it she proceeded to do a minute and a half massage total, which is not the norm for this place. Then I got my gel fill in and I liked it at first but my thumbs started to quickly lift (2-3 days after the service). I thought itās okay, Iāll just go get them fixed. The person who fixed them just glued them and put some more gel and sent me on my way. Having worked in a nail salon for 5 years in the past I knew it wouldnāt work, but I wonāt tell anyone how to do their job and I just hoped it worked and went on my way. A day later, itās lifting again. I go back to get them fixed and she takes off my two thumb nails and just redoās them only on my nail, no tip. Then a day later I realize all of my nails are lifting, which is a problem Iāve never had. I went on a trip and when I came back I went straight to the salon to get the nails fixed. At this point im pretty upset because itās been only 2 weeks since I paid $55 + tip for the fill in and itās my 3rd time coming to get them fixed so im thinking I wonāt have to pay or Iāll pay something minimal. Annie, who was doing my nails again, had to take all my nails off and do a new set. Thereās absolutely no reason why my nails would only last 2 weeks. At checkout I was told I was getting charged $55 and that the new set was $65 so thatās a $10 discount. I appreciate the discount, however, I find it unreasonable to spend $110 + tip in 2 weeks for nails because the person who did them Initially didnāt do them right. If an employee offers inferior services, his services should be charged at a lower price. To top it off, this time was also below average. I have gel color over my cuticles and finger and after having spent money Iāll get to go home and fix them myself. I spoke to 2 different people who seemed to be managers during the 3 times I had the issues and they were both somewhat dismissive but the man was the most helpful of the two. The young woman straight up did not care. I was glad to have found a good place but after this I donāt see myself...

I strongly advise against visiting this nail salon unless youāre ready to endure terrible customer service, mismatched nail colors, and poor-quality gel polishāall while being tricked by their payment system into leaving a larger tip. I stumbled upon this Asian nail salon by chance while driving on Thomas Road, and it turned out to be a big mistake.
From the moment I walked in, I was met with a rude attitude from a small Asian man wearing a bucket hat. The nail technician who did my nails was competent but far from friendly. The staff spent more time loudly conversing in their native language than paying attention to customers. Whenever I asked a question, I was met with an annoyed and dismissive tone from the nail technician.
Unfortunately I decided to give them a second chance, but my experience only got worse. During my next visit, I selected a nail color, only to end up with something completely different. When I mentioned this, they defensively claimed that none of the colors in their nail book match the actual polishāan absurd excuse. I reluctantly accepted the situation, not wanting to make a scene, as the small Asian man deliberately raised his voice to draw attention.
The very next day, bubbles began to form on my nails, something Iāve never experienced before with gel nail polish. When I called to have it fixed, I was met with more rudeness. They didnāt apologizeāinstead, they blamed me and aggressively defended the quality of their products. The same little Asian man with the bucket hat rudely told me that if I didnāt like their quality, I didnāt have to come back. I assured him that I had no intention of ever coming back.
To summarize, this nail salon offers zero customer service, uses a deceptive nail color book, bad gel polish, and inflates the tips. This is by far the rudest Asian-owned business I have ever encountered. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place at all costs.
Update: Two days after having fixed the bubbles on my nails, new ones started to appear. Clearly, this is an ongoing issue, but I definitely won't be returning to get it fixed, especially considering the hostile...
Read moreHighly disappointed. Today was my second and last time at this salon. My first time I had a complex pop art design done amazingly and so I went back with a simple ombré to get done next.
To start, once I showed the guy at the front my picture he asked if Iām getting acrylics, I said no I wanted my natural nails done. He then claimed I couldnāt get the ombrĆ© I wanted on my natural nails, I needed dip powder nails (which Iāve never gotten before). The first picture below was my reference photo.
Everything was going well at first until the end. My nail tech gave me pinkish super light nails that went into a white ombrĆ©. I wanted a deeper nude like in the reference photo. Apparently to fix her mistake she wouldāve needed to add more powder layers or something, so she called the front desk guy over whoās also a nail tech. He darkened my nails a bit to look like in the second photo I attach, and I appreciate that it looked better than the natural all white super subtle ombrĆ© the female nail tech initially tried to give me.
However, I still voiced my displeasure that it wasnāt like in my reference photo. The male nail tech said the reference photo is acrylics and itās impossible to get that with my powder nails, I wouldāve needed acrylics. This is contrary to what I was told when they convinced me to even get powder nails. I finished my service and canceled the planned pedicure since they already messed up with my nails, and I didnāt want them near my toes at that point. I paid the $75 that apparently powder nails warrants.
Then I promptly went to CVS, paid $15 for a nude nail polish and darkened my own nails with my amateur skills. Thatās the third photo below. Sadly I donāt have the skills needed to make my nails like my reference photo but I shouldnāt have been scammed to get powder nails and then have to leave with nails I wasnāt fully happy with. Much less had to self-correct what the salon refused too. I just wanted a dark nude ombrĆ© yet that seems to be out of the skill set...
