I knew I was in for a treat the minute I walked in and was immediately greeted with the scent of smoldering firewood and rich spices. From the minimally yet elegantly furnished dining area to the giant live fire Josper rotisserie that easily prices out on par with a brand new, fully equipped 3 series, Mister Pio let's guests know that the food here is serious business. The menu is very simple; several different portion sizes of their freshly roasted and grilled Peruvian chicken, served with a mixed green salad and your choice of two sauces from the three available. Fries come in two sizes and are available as an add-on option, as are a selection of bottled beverages, including Mexican cane sugar Coke and Inca Kola, an interesting looking and tasty Peruvian cola. And that's it! Or at least, that's it for now. I've no doubt that as Mister Pio's popularity grows, it's menu will see some additions, but for right now it's goal is concentrated on offering a truly authentic Peruvian polleria experience and that's something it does VERY well. I opted for the half-chicken size, a portion I knew was going to be too big for me to finish in one sitting, but I wanted to try both the white and dark meat. The chicken was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly with crisped skin and a succulent juiciness throughout. The flavor of the spice blend, along with the subtle notes of wood smoke worked wonderfully together, with neither component overpowering nor outshining the other. For the sauces, I chose the Aji Verde and the Aji Rocoto, their mild and hot options respectively. Both sauces paired well with the chicken, and the Aji Rocoto definitely had a nice kick to it. The salad was tossed with Aji Amarillo Ginger Vinaigrette, with the greens sourced from local Steadfast Farms in Mesa, and was a nice accompaniment to the richly flavored chicken. I paired the meal with the small order of fries, which was actually a pretty large portion. Mister Pio uses Kennebec potatoes for their fries, which are known, particularly in the culinary world, as being a superior potato for French fries. These were light and fluffy inside, with that satisfyingly crispy crunch on the outside, seasoned with sea salt. Perfection! Altogether, the meal clocked in at $34 before tax, and could have easily fed two people for lunch. I'm very happy to have this spot in the neighborhood, and look forward to seeing Mister Pio become a local treasure. Speaking briefly with the owner and chef, it's clear that his commitment to sourcing the best, high-quality ingredients, with fresh and authentic preparation, is what drives him and his restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and giving Mister Pio a try!

#Sabor #Amor y #Corazon đŸ”„ Coming from the NYC Metro area there's always great food a stones throw away. **However, Quality sourced- #rotisserie chicken done over real wood charcoals isn't easy to find in #Arcadia #Scottsdale area. Stepping into a crisp -new restaurant is always a pleasant experience. Upon entering i was greeted with a warm smile by Justin, the proprietor of this artisan shop. We got to talking while our food was prepared fresh. He told us a bit about his backround and world travel as a chef. His Peruvian roots had inspired him to focus on Quality - Sabor (flavor) and love that you feel as he proudly serves you his home made dishes. Small menu that focuses on his niche /craft. Quality sourced chicken, artisan Greens salads, and home made fries. My son and I ordered the whole experience. "Boy oh boy!" This mouth watering chicken first hit me with the thin & crispy skin done up Peruvian style with herbs & spices that set it apart and give you that experience as if you were in a #Taverna served by a mom & pop in đŸ‡”đŸ‡Ș Peru.

This place is an absolute gem! The rotisserie chicken is out of this world—perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor that’s clearly the result of expert care and seasoning. Every bite feels like it was made with love. The French fries? Easily the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. They’re the ultimate sidekick to the star of the show—the chicken! A huge shoutout to the chef and owner, Justin, who is clearly a master of his craft. You can tell how much passion and attention to detail he puts into every dish. He also takes the time to connect with his customers, making the whole experience feel warm and personal. The place is kid friendly and my 3 year old got to experience fine dining in this friendly environment. If you’re looking for food that’s not just delicious but unforgettable, this is the spot. Thank you, Justin, for an amazing meal! We’ll definitely be back. @theeddiegutierrez

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Taste of Peru That You’ll Never Forget!

If you’re looking for a place that brings the vibrant flavors of Peru straight to your table, look no further! This Peruvian gem serves up the most amazing rotisserie chicken I’ve ever tasted — perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, with that irresistible flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

The sides are just as spectacular — crispy golden French fries and a fresh, best I have ever had, salad that balances every bite beautifully. And of course, no Peruvian meal is complete without a chilled bottle of Inka Kola that sweet, uniquely refreshing soda that pairs perfectly with every dish.

What really completes the experience, though, is their local Wilcox beer — IPA is crisp, cold, and the perfect complement to the rich, savory flavors of Peruvian cuisine. It’s a true local-meets-global pairing that makes every meal here feel special.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food — simply unforgettable. Whether you’re a longtime lover of Peruvian food or trying it for the first time, this place delivers authenticity, comfort, and flavor in every bite.

Highly recommend! Come hungry, leave happy — and maybe with a craving for another round of that incredible chicken....

I from the east coast (DMV babyyy iykyk) and have been searching for a Pollo a la Brasa and found Mister Pio. I was flabbergasted by the prices, I was driving home angry with half a chicken in my bag setting me back over $30 bucks. But then I got home and it was LOVE LOVE LOVE at first bite. I asked myself, had I tasted the food of the Gods? The crispness, the seasonings, the succulence of this perfectly roasted fowl.

They are not playing about their chicken! I see people complaining on the menu limitation but as a serious food lover, I love engaging with an establishment that specializes on making one item the best item and it shows! I went online and saw the justification for their pricing, they source their ingredients thoughtfully and the truth is in the pudding.

I will warn you, do not get the friesss...you don't need that kind of addiction in your life. They are perfectly salted, FAT, golden, crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside....ughhh, I rolled my eyes back at first bite, I almost seized.

I almost want to keep this place a secret but they deserve their flowers (and my monies!) Now I go often, order take out, sit and dine and when I don't, I...
