You have tasty food; What makes it better is your current employees Miguel and Elvira – always super nice and professional.
However, on 3rd of March, I was in your store with some of my fellow employees and noticed a new girl working there - she was rude, not following health code protocol but; to be perfectly honest…she is not even close to properly dressed nor as professional or courteous as Miguel or Elvira. Another guy there was wearing a T-shirt without sleeves...? I'm sure it will be apparent in your camera footage. Both were not sincerely welcoming; inappropriately dressed. She was in gym pants (showing to much skin because or untucked shirt); as she prepped our food, she would adjust her pants with bare hands; then, continue without washing or sanitizing; she would argue with Elvira in front of us clients – she clearly has a chip on her shoulder; in short she is reducing restaurant's prestige and hard work. We will not return when she is there. Any other client will report to the city health inspector.
She is not trained properly to deliver the first rate service we enjoy with Miguel and Elvira. Whomever referred her or trained her did so inappropriately. Clearly she is not following the right example at this location and brings these bad habits from elsewhere. Your store will lose key...
Read moreBEST MEXICAN FOOD SECRET IN THE VALLEY!! My husband and I have lived in the Valley since 1989. We love good Mexican food so we’ve tried many, many places either highly recommended, from the Phoenix magazine, from Arizona Highways TV show or just from looking up Mexican restaurants on Google. A few days ago we were actually trying to find this other Mexican restaurant that was known for their Carne Asada when we saw Maskadores Taco Shop driving by so we thought, ‘What the heck - let’s try it.’ And we are so glad that we did stop. Immediately we noticed many locals were eating there (good sign), and they had a great menu. The women working behind the counter were so friendly recommending dishes to us after we described the kind of Mexican food we liked. I ended up with their GREEN CHILI ENCHILADA, and let me tell you it was absolutely the most tasty Green Chili that I’ve ever had in the Valley - seriously!! Their rice and beans that accompanied the dish were also full of flavor unlike other Mexican places where there is little flavor to the standard rice and bean sides. My husband’s Carne Asada was delicious as well. I think that IF any of the media were to eat here this place would no doubt land on the BEST OF PHOENIX list, but for right now well…it’s...
Read moreI had always drove by and saw the birria sign but decided to stop in tonight.
I went in about half an hour before they closed- it was dead at 7pm on a Wednesday which I find ridiculous.
The staff was warm, friendly and a welcome comfort after a long day and being away from my family- there's a certain type of flavor to mexican/hispanic hospitality that makes me feel "I am home, among family, and safe" deep in my soul.
I ordered just birria tacos- I wasn't feeling hungry enough for the whole plate. They made them perfectly- maybe it was because I felt so at ease, so at peace in their shop after ordering, but those tacos tasted better than any other birria taco I have had.
The tortilla was fried up on the grill in the birria consumme- perfectly crispy, crunchy, not too soggy where the bottom falls out, and with burn marks from the grill (just how I love them).
The meat was super tender and flavorful, dipping it in the consumme only made it more mouthwatering and succulent. The taco stayed crunchy against the juices.
It's a shame that this taco shop location in particular, doesn't have more business but i genuinely feel it should. Oh and the cam of monster I bought was...
