This is the first time I have ever felt so compelled to leave a business a negative review. I have a common skin condition called tinea versicolor that I needed treatment for. I looked online for local dermatolagists and noticed that Ahwatukee Skin and Laser received excellent reviews, so I scheduled an appointment at their office. The doctor was very nice, looked at my condition, confirmed the diagnosis, and prescribed me medication for it. During my visit, she asked if she could take a quick look at my back for any unusual freckles. She noticed one that seemed abnormal, so she asked me if she could take a quick sample of it, so I said "sure". When I my visit was over, I aksed if I needed to do anything else other than pay my co-pay, and was told I was all set. Several months later, I received a bill for a $100.00 - the office billed my insurance company for a "minor surgery" when the doctor took a sample of my freckle, and now I had to pay out of pocket for it. I asked why I wasn't informed of this during my visit - their front office personnel told me this was "standard practice". I don't know about you, but I like to know the cost of a product or service before I agree to purchase it. Now, I just received a bill for "NO SHOW" to an appointment that I never scheduled. Apparently, the office personnel scheduled my appointment a full year in advance without notifying me and notified me by voicemail two days prior to my appointment. It took the office staff over three months to respond to my initial inquiry and now they are wanting to charge me all late fees on my bill. Not a...
Read moreThis by far is the best medical office I've ever been to! Not only is the staff friendly and knowledgable I feel like i'm part family when I go there.
I know this is long, but this was my situation: I recently went for my regular Sun Damage checkup with Sarah Neumann and she noticed that my eyes were a little swollen. I told her that it happened several days back and being a male, we have a tendency to under estimate the seriousness of medical situations and besides it was getting "slightly" better. Sarah wasn't buying it. She, looking out for my best interest, insisted that I go get it checked out immediately because it could be something serious like Orbital Cellulites which can lead to a brain infection or something worse. I said that i couldn't get into my regular doctor until the next day, as I already made an appointment, so she reached out to hers and made sure that I would be seen that day... if only we regular people could do that... Long story short, it turned out to be an allergic reaction to something I came in contact with, but just the fact that she personally picked up her cell phone and called her Dr. to get me in, was just mind boggling and greatly appreciated and I really felt like family and she didn't need to do any of that and could have just said to go see my Dr!
I have never been to a facility where they care that much about their patient's and their well being. She and her office is by far the BEST! I only wish that the rest of my specialist had half the amount of concern the she does for her patients.

Read moreEveryone here is amazing, the front office and MA's were actually nice! Which was refreshing especially since soooooo many other doctors offices ive been to over the years tend to have front desk staff with a snotty attitude, like you being there has ruined their day or something. I started to wonder if RBF and rudeness was a job requirement (just in general at any healthcare front office). It was so nice to walk in and have a happy, smiling person who was helpful and nice for a change.
Dr.McBride is great! Younger guy, but super knowledgeable and not just regurgitating memorized terminology at you, but actually explains things. Also really friendly and welcoming and was enthusiastic like he's happy to be there and actually wants to help you/ treat you, and allows you to ask questions without interrupting you mid sentence or talking to you like you're not a moron for not already knowing (again something that's become common in healthcare). Very nice, humble, down to earth guy, so discussing concerns and treatment options wasn't uncomfortable or frustrating.
Also, the skin issues I have (acne & contact dermititis) are annoyances I have had to deal with my entire life and have been to many doctors over the years, but none I actually had these kind of results with, I'm 38 and don't really know why it took 20 years to find someone who could actually help me, but I am very grateful I finally have. Definitely recommend and I would give 10...
