I would give this place more stars if it wasn't SO confusing. First off, I found this place on Groupon. It was late on Friday so I wasn't sure about the hrs and events, so I went to their website. It showed "teen night" for Friday. We wanting to know more about the teen night I searched all over the site for more details. I found a section that said teen night includes- Light sticks, pizza, dodgeball tournament and it was a black light night with music. Sounded fun! I have an 11 and 14 yr old so I called to make sure they were in the "teen" group. It said it started at 8pm and that open jump ended at 8 pm as well, so assuming that all the younger kids would be gone by 8 would only make sense right???! I called to confirm....the girl put me on hold... came back and said yeah teen night starts at 8. I asked about me getting a groupon for this event and if that would work. She said No, but its 15 per teen for everything. Ok, I decided to do it. Drove all the way there and got in around 8:15. Lights are on and nothing seems to look like "teen night". Lots of young kids and no music. I figured it would start soon so I paid and bought the socks that they force you to wear. Other places will let you use any grip sock, so that was kinda annoying. I paid and my kids were off! Little while in they were asking me about the pizza, so I went to the counter and asked the young girl about Teen night. I said I thought the kids got glow sticks and pizza and also mentioned how the lights are still on and theres no music. She was very confused. Said she never has any idea about what happens here.... Ummm ok, well I paid for this teen night and I am not getting it. She also said her manager was here somewhere but probably busy. I showed her the website section that showed what was included in this teen night and again she had no clue. I explained to my kids that this place is clueless and I told them I am not sure if you will be pizza. My daughter was also having a very frustrating time trying to get onto some of the climbing walls because you have to get a harness and then someone needs to hook you onto the tether. There was only 1 girl working this entire huge section and putting those harnesses on each kid takes a long time!! They really needed more workers to monitor kids and help. At one point I had to unhook her and I could see the "eyes" on my as I did that, but I needed to get her off that and couldn't wait anymore. Kids are still hungry so I go up to the food counter. I ask and show the girl the website where it says pizza is included and she said the same thing as the other girl " I never know what the plan is around here". " I didn't know about this". She says that she will give us two pieces of pizza. It was terrible, but oh well. My kids had a lot of fun, but man what a nightmare trying to figure anything out here. Hard to want to go back after all that. The extra things they have here are really fun tho and my kids loved the ninja warrior set up. Just be aware of what night you go and the confusion the employees might have. I will try again but I won't expect to go for this...

Only after I was charged $38 for two kids, I saw that the small kids play area was closed, which upset my youngest. I felt ripped off. To make matters worse, they were playing explicit rap music and my 5 year old heard the F word over and over until I asked manager to shut it off. The floor was filthy right at 4 pm when the business had just opened. There were no balls in the basketball area and only one dodgeball in the dodgeball area. There was a pair of parents straddling each other in a really inappropriate way, laying on the blue mats by the trampolines, making out while all the little kids ran around them. I’m never going back to this location.
My Original Review: Urban Air Ahwatukee is dirty, crowded and poorly managed.
Children’s play equipment is often broken, particularly in the multi-level play structure that’s intended for small kids.
Management seems non-existent. I’ve never seen anyone who appears older than the age of 18 working there. Though there are rules posted next to each play area, staff do not enforce them. For example, on June 8, 2 aggressive teenagers decided to enter the dodgeball court where 7 of my daughter’s friends (who are all 8 yrs old and under) had already been playing a game. The teenagers were hurling dodgeballs at each other, but lost control and pegged my son (5 years old) right in the face. He cried hysterically. Because he’s five. Where was Urban Air staff? You can find them talking on or watching cell phones behind the snack bar area if they’re missing. It’s up to parents to enforce Urban Air policies.
The ball pit is quite dirty as well. This is another area where rowdy teenagers just plow right through little ones without anyone from Urban Air telling them to take turns out be mindful of other patrons.
Forget about going to the bathroom here, either. When ever I try to use the restroom, the floor is often covered in urine. Little kids run around the place in the required socks … which means they are tracking urine everywhere.
I don’t know how this place stays in business, especially considering there’s a brand new KTR on Elliott s well as an Uptown Jungle Funk Park right down the road—-both of which are bright, well maintained and have staff who are visible throughout the space. Go...
Read moreMy son wanted his party here. I do like the staff. The lead, forgot his name was so pleasant and helpful when scheduling. Our party host Alex was great. Very friendly, and checked in on us frequently. Just all around a pleasure to have. Regarding the pricing, it's very expensive to have children's parties anywhere anymore, so it's hard to adjust/ accept when there are beyond-the-norm upcharges.. Extra charges that blow my mind are
private room or VIP room. It's an upsell of $50-75. If you don't want that, you get a table on the floor and mixed in with non-parties. It's clear, you want a room, to socialize and get away from the noise but it caught me off guard that it incurred a fee.
Pizzas beyond the original 10 headcount. The packages are based on 10 partygoers. Comes with 2 pizzas. Even if you add more children which comes with a $20 per person fee, more pizzas are not included to cover the extra guests.. Kind of confusing to me.
The last part that had me confused was, I got an email to call with questions, I called and was told that I had to add more pizzas 2 days in advance, and I couldn't add more beyond 7pm of the 2 day before rule or at the party. And if people who weren't a part of my party, like a guest who brings other siblings added their child to my guest list I would be charged. Parties places in general that range ~$500 should be better about ensuring only invited guests are allowed on the ticket. All the same, when we checked in the lead was there and he said that my party host would help to ensure that only invited children were included. And our party host was very good about that. And she said I could order more pizza so I did. I mention all this because the email that comes states you must order more by the cut off and they aren't responsible for extra guests added to the list. It makes you uncomfortable and then to carry this anxiety all for it to be for nothing when you arrive was wasted worry. Perhaps I just lucked up with 2 great employees, but the email outlining the rules and the person I spoke with on the phone caused me to question if this was the place for me.
I'm glad we came. It wasn't a busy night, my guests got to play on everything and it...
