Regrettably, my encounter with the Hawaiian culinary offering in question proved to be a disheartening affair. Despite the allure of the exotic flavors promised by the establishment, I found myself enveloped in a gustatory melancholy, for the dishes lacked the vivacity and palatal allure that one would expect from such a revered cuisine.
The disappointment deepened as I encountered not only an absence of taste but also a chilling temperature that betrayed the absence of culinary finesse. Each morsel presented before me seemed to have undergone a premature journey, prepared and pre-cooked with no regard for the individuality of each order. The absence of freshly prepared dishes bespoke a disconcerting lack of culinary artistry, leaving me yearning for the vibrant sensations and bespoke attention that an authentic dining experience should bestow.
Furthermore, my disquiet was further compounded by an unsettling revelation regarding the apparent neglect of basic food hygiene practices. The veil of gastronomic pleasure was quickly lifted, exposing an unwelcome reality characterized by an alarming dearth of cleanliness and a disregard for the crucial tenets of culinary sanitation. Such negligence in maintaining proper food hygiene standards engendered a sense of profound unease and underscored a glaring lack of respect for the welfare and well-being of the discerning patrons.
In light of these disconcerting circumstances, I am compelled to express my profound disappointment with the Hawaiian culinary establishment in question. The absence of flavors, the cold and pre-cooked nature of the fare, and the unsettling lack of food hygiene practices collectively marred what should have been an indulgent exploration of the rich tapestry of Hawaiian cuisine. I implore the proprietors to reevaluate their commitment to culinary excellence, invoking a revival of flavor, freshness, and a steadfast adherence to the principles of food hygiene. Only through such measures can they aspire to deliver a truly remarkable and satisfying dining experience that befits the stature of this captivating cuisine. In light of the woefully lackluster experience described above, it is with a heavy heart that I declare my definitive decision to abstain from future visits to the Hawaiian culinary establishment in question. The flavorless and cold fare, coupled with the disconcerting absence of made-to-order meals and adherence to food hygiene practices, have left an indelible mark of dissatisfaction upon my gastronomic sensibilities.
Given the subpar nature of the dining encounter and the absence of key elements that should define a memorable culinary journey, I feel compelled to caution others against venturing into this establishment. With countless alternatives available, it would be prudent for discerning individuals to seek out other venues that uphold the principles of culinary excellence, where the vibrancy of flavors harmonizes with the freshness of ingredients and meticulous attention is paid to food hygiene.
Therefore, in the interest of fostering genuine culinary enjoyment, I wholeheartedly advise others to steer clear of this Hawaiian food establishment. May this review serve as a beacon of guidance, enabling others to make informed decisions and sparing them from a lackluster experience that falls far short of their rightful...
Read moreBeen going here on a weekly basis for months and today was the first time I had bad service. There's 4 employees working behind the counter, with what looks like, only one employee actually doing anything, the female employee is multi tasking between online orders and taking care of the in store line while the 3 male employees seem to be trying to look busy but not actually doing much of anything except shuffling their feet. Its absolutely unacceptable for me to be first in line and yet be told, several times, I will be right with you, so you can fill all your online orders while Im actually in the store waiting with several people behind me, and all we keep hearing is, I will be right with you, over and over again because she didn't get "right with me" no I had to wait and wait despite being first in line. Then they run out of what I want and im forced to pick something else or wait..... all of this while again, Im first in line.... just standing there while the food dissappears so she can "be right with me" That's not how customer service works in food service but it looks like just a bunch of kids with no customer experience. They dont care and it showed today. Very disappointed especially with how much we eat here or use to eat here. Maybe its bad management, it seems logical you would have one employee taking care of the in the store line and one employee taking care of online orders and one cooking and one on register, at least through the dinner rush. I cant imagine any of the 4 employees were managers in any capacity, so I would suggest correcting that error as these 4 kids did not know how to treat...
Read moreFirst, I have been a customer here since they’ve opened. I’ve really had any real complaints. But I’m seeing a decline. Today is a Wednesday, I was in-line ordering for my family of 4 to go. They are busy. Which I’m happy to see. It’s 7:20 pm. First, the young man weighing the food (yes, weighing it. Guess I’ve never noticed but when he put chicken on. Then took chicken off and put it back on the serving line I was like huh) tells the 2 couples in front of me that they have no more brown rice and aren’t going to cook anymore. Then he tells them that certain items on the menu are cook to order. 15 minutes for steak teriyaki. I ask specifically about this, mentioning it’s 7:20 and the dinner rush. He said after 6 pm It’s cook to order. I don’t know if he just told me a story or if this is the policy to keep people from ordering steak. Or if MOKU isn’t a quick order restaurant and thinks customers will wait like it’s a sit down restaurant. I just don’t know. I can definitely tell you this while I was there I saw minimum 6 people ask for brown rice and 4 for steak teriyaki. Sad to see another restaurant fail because of their own success. Poor service gives competitors more confidence that they can take market share. ONO Hawaiian will be west of I10 sooner than later.
All being said the food is still...
