This store was great (a bit overpriced) until this human decided to take advantage of their “AARP Disability” program. Apparently he can’t drive a truck (do to a surgery affecting his “ability”, yet he drives to SVDP daily) he CAN however wave his arms around like a crazy man while attempting to be the gatekeeper (video will be sent to all the proper authorities). Too bad he has driven several customers away, won’t work with me. Saint Vincent, why are you allowing someone who is beating the system, stealing money from their employer, to destroy your reputation you’ve spent almost 80 years building (many GREAT people who have volunteered building that reputation)! Time to act…..before you lose EVERY loyal customer you had prior to his arrival. We already know of 5 (yes they’ve personally contacted me & left reviews online on several apps & websites) that refuse to go back, at least until he is GONE!

I understand that the mission statement of these folks is noble and admirable. We didn't have a positive experience with them today. In a charitable act, we scheduled a pickup of two couches that were in good shape as a donation to them. Due to a minor unevenness in the fabric, which they classified as a "rip," they refused to take them. I really couldn't even identify what they were talking about - believe me, it was extremely minor. Because of this a family that could probably have used two decent couches won't get them now. They certainly won't be at the top of our list the next time we have something to give or donate.

There is always something new on the floor- every hour! I really enjoy volunteering there and can tell you, WOW =D people are very generous with the donations. The prices are usually negotiable depending on how long it’s been there or if it’s priced too high(in your reasonable opinion). Coach, Tom Ford, Chico’s, Free People, Vince., White House Black Market, Good American, NYDJ, Ralph Lauren, Vuori, Calvin Klein… OH DID I MENTION- ALL THOSE IVE SPOTTED UNDER $7!!!! All electronics are tested, and all furniture is checked for critters. This place is awesome. Especially the last Saturday of each month- half off woot wooooot!!

Being a catholic, my family has always donated to St Vincent de Paul. 1.5 yrs ago when my uncle passed, we donated his entire apartment contents - tvs(2), soundbars, kitchen table/chairs, appliances, coffee table, end tables, etc. My sister, who is disabled, called them regarding some tables & a microfiber loveseat with center console she wanted to donate. When they showed up, they refused to take the loveseat because 1 of the arms was dirty. Apparently the people who moved it out to the driveway had to turn it sideways to get it thru the doorway. The driver was extremely rude, stating they would not take it. My sister offered to get a cloth & wipe it off, he said they still would take it & left it in her driveway. She called me, all upset. I went over & got it inside her garage. She then took a cloth & wiped it off. It looked perfect. It's sad that even St Vincent de Paul has fallen to this low level of thinking - "Screw you, it's all about me". From this day forward, we will be taking anything we don't need...

Miserable experience donating in the back drive up today, as compared to the countless times I have donated over the years.

I posted a long , updated review on yelp.

Do better, people! Those of you "working" in the back drive up look miserable. A welcoming, smiling, helpful and grateful attitude toward those of us who donate would be nice. Instead, I encountered rude behavior, sour faces and no help lifting my heavy donations into the blue tub...you all stood around and watched me struggle, and did nothing...not even a thank you.

There are other places where I can donate...you're not the only game in town. Based on today's rude and negative experience, I seriously will think twice about ever...
