I booked a full highlight with Brandi and during the service after she said she had finished foiling. I asked her why she hadn’t foiled throughout my whole head because the entire underneath was still completely dark. She insisted that that was how it had to be and that she had done a full foil and if I wanted any more I would have to book another full foil. I was unhappy the rest of the service because I knew my hair would not even come close to turning out how I wanted. I paid $199 + tip and left. I still wanted my hair lighter so I went to another stylist about a month later and she had asked if I had gotten a full highlight when I got my hair done the month prior. I said yes and she said “um yeah because you definitely didn’t get a full” and noted the same darkness all throughout my hair that I mentioned at the time of my service. She took pictures as proof that I did not receive a full highlight. I called the salon and explained everything to the manager Bella and asked if I could receive a partial refund of the price difference between their partial and full highlight services (approximately $130). She said that she couldn’t do that because it had been over 6 weeks even though I mentioned it at the time of service and was disregarded. She gave so many excuses. She said that hair “changes over time” so they can’t use reference photos taken only about a month later. She said that salons vary based on how they do full highlights and full highlight doesn’t always mean putting foils sporadically throughout your whole head even though the other stylist I went to said that that is absolutely what a full highlight is. She said there was nothing she could do to amend what happened. I am shocked the stylist and manager have cosmetology licenses. Read moreI recently decided to treat myself to a fresh haircut and, against my better judgment, chose to give Swoon Salon a chance. Despite my initial optimism stemming from their high rating and positive reviews, my visit to this salon proved to be a regrettable experience.
To begin with, I carefully researched various salons in the area, aiming to select one with a respectable reputation. Swoon Salon's excellent 4.9 rating seemed promising, leading me to believe that I was in good hands. However, my hopes were completely dashed as I left the salon with a subpar haircut that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
First and foremost, the stylist failed to adequately blend my hair, resulting in an uneven and choppy cut. It was clear that attention to detail and precision were lacking throughout the entire process. Moreover, my bangs were cut far too short, leaving them misaligned and unable to properly frame my face. It was disheartening to see the final outcome, as my hair was left in such a mess that the only way I could remotely salvage it was by constantly curling it.
Initially, I was oblivious to the flaws in the haircut, mainly because the stylist cleverly masked the shortcomings by styling my hair in a way that artfully concealed the haphazardness of the cut. However, once I left the salon and had the chance to properly examine my hair, I discovered the disaster that I had been subjected to. The revelation of such a botched job left me deeply upset.
While I must acknowledge the pleasant demeanor of the salon's staff and the efforts they made to create a welcoming environment, I cannot overlook the substandard outcome of the haircut itself. Read moreI have been here a few times, and I have absolutely enjoy going here. I recently had an impulsive decision to go to another salon and regretted the minute I walked in. It made me appreciate Swoon Salon even more. So here is my honest review and break down.
The place is beautiful and peaceful. I am a mom of 4 boys and work fulltime so my time is always crunched. When I come here, I feel like I can finally relax.
The receptionist is THE SWEETEST person I have met. She always smiles and for clients that have been going there she makes it a point to call them by their name. There are other shops around and they all talk to each other. Such a beautiful vibe. ALSO, bonus! She makes you the most delicious coffee of your choice. She will ask you if you like it sweet or not too sweet. She always gets it right!
The stylist ALL say hello. They complement each other work. I love this.
Stephanie is my go-to girl. She is a so kind, sweet and really listens to you while you are in her chair. She could not take me since she as booked and given my time crunch, she suggested another stylist. This is such a wonderful gesture and deeply thank her for recommending another wonderful person. She is talented and would recommend her hands down.
Leah, she was my stylist this time. She took her time and made sure she understood what I wanted. The consultation was on point; we talked about what I liked and didn't. Ultimate goals and reasons I had decided to color my hair again. I would recommend her 100 %.
