First visit to the theatre... And I loved it!! Smaller venue in a cute older building. At the extreme north end of the street, you can't get any closer to the water before you are in the Delta. Close to multiple restaurants if you want to get dinner before or after the show you see. My husband took me to see Christopher Titus: Amerigeddon. I've been a fan of his since the late 1990s. Second row seats, so close to the stage that I'm POSITIVE we made eye contact more than once! Parking is on the street and free. But be prepared to walk 1-2 blocks if you show up close to show start time.

I went to the California Theater a couple of days before Halloween to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show (shadow cast and audience participation included). The theater is definitely older which lends it a certain charm. The staff is pretty fabulous, meaning they are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The event I went to turned out to be fun for my entire group, myself included. The Bawdy Caste (the shadow cast performers) were very good. All in all, it was a seriously fun experience.

Wonderful old school performing arts theatre, with a balcony and lobby. Saw a fantastic performance of "Young Frankenstein" by Pittsburgh Community Theatre there - great community feel, and with high quality performances. We laughed and laughed and enjoyed every minute.

The theater finally opened again !!! After running, walking, driving and riding past it during it's refurbishing, finally getting to go in on opening day, then sadly seeing it closed for COVID, I waited and waited and FINALLY it reopend so.... my fiance' and I walked down and saw "The Addams Family". We had a blast. What a great show. The seats all were great, staff were funny and friendly. Being able to support downtown Pittsburg AND the Arts... wow.. so nice and so easy. I hope other people will show up. It was funny and entertaining the acoustics were great. Wednesday has an amazing voice as do the rest of the cast. There is a nice refreshment counter for before the plays and during the single intermission. Cost was $ 30 per adult and could be bought in person 1 hour before show time. We went to the 11/5 2 pm showing after having noodles around the corner at Skyview Noodle and...

What an awesome gem I found here! Amazing venue! Super clean, extremely large and comfortable seats with tons of leg room even for us 6'7" large people! The people working here were super friendly and you can tell they love working here. Even the bathrooms were clean and spaacious! Just all around super nice. The ONLY thing they need to work on is a better bar/drink system. A little awkward with the set up. Even if that never changes....this is hands down the BEST local kept secret! Please bring in more shows! Sinbad...
