The food at Puttshack is a hole in one! Great. Succinct menu with lots of options, vegetarian and vegan support, Mediterranean, Latinx, and Asian inspirations, and everything was delicious (minus the sauce for thr falafel, I think it actually detracted from the amazingly fragrant and spiced filling). The golfing, however. Everything is controlled through RFID technology in the golf balls. Your score is kept via a fancy technological system of screens. Everyone has a white ball because you are meant to take your turn one at a time golfing the entire hole before the next player. You can bounce around to holes in any order, but technical glitches abounded last night. We made it to hole 2 and immediately the programming siezed up and claimed it was ready to rewrite the next ball set down as someone from another party. Management came over 3 times to try and fix the problem, stating that it had never happened before. We were held up for quite a time. Things did not improve by the next hole, because it was time to play trivia pursuit. Yes, the next hole had a backlog of guests waiting to play it because you had to first putt your category of question and then answer the question via choice of target hole. This design caused a slowdown and there were no less than 15 golfers all in a line waiting due to this gimmick. Of course when we stepped up to tee the hole broke and wouldn't load up whoever put their ball down on the tee. Took the team about 10 solid minutes to try fixing it while players stacked up 25 deep behind us waiting. They finally decided to program new balls to our names and we were able to putt the rest of the 9 hole course in peace. I LOVE putt putt. My husband and I play a lot (and get pretty competitive) but I just don't understand why everything has to be such a gimmick. I would have enjoyed the experience more with a pencil and scorecard. Keep the supertubes and hazards for a more varied experience, but relying on technology to simply play was not fun. Shout out to the management team for doing their best to rectify the errors as they cropped up. There are 4 courses crammed into this place, and they all do look interesting but after tonight's experience I am not in a hurry to return. The venue WAS very clean, nicely lit and decorated, the bathrooms were spotless and trendy with neon, and the live DJ was neat but WAY too loud to have a conversation at dinner.

Yesterday was the day we went it was Labor Day so most places were closed. Originally we were waiting in line for the nearby Primanti Bros. Then we moved here. There was a 20 minute wait nothing to complain about though. The decoration video game wise is cool and they have fairly comfy seats to sit in, they got us seated fairly quickly. The seat was directly in the path of the air from the AC, initially this was very nice contrasted with the outside but after sitting there for about a half hour we started to freeze. Later on we asked our server if he could control the AC and he said it was controlled by the building and that this was a common complain they got about the seats we were in. If this is the case why seat anyone there? After we got seated our server Dave came over and asked us what we wanted, I ordered late admittedly that was my fault. Because of this he had to put my sandwich in as a separate order so I ended up getting it way before the rest of the stuff, an entirely different person gave us our food too which was strange. The sandwich was pretty good, but not worth $16, $10 or $12 might be a better price, fries were included which justifies it slightly more. The sandwich was also filling, it felt large, and they got it out to us very quickly, however the fries got cold fast. By this point we still had not gotten our drinks or silverware, we did request them and we got them a little while after this sandwich arrived. When the drinks did arrive our waters had lots of ice, but for whatever reason our teas didn’t. We had to request a ice cup for that. The rest of our food got to us after with the meals. The meatballs were great and larger along with the Thai fried chicken those were both worth it. The meatballs came with a mini breadstick too, the salads were big and also worth the price, but the pizza was small, especially for $14. We got dessert as well which was this warm cookie in a small brownie tray with ice cream on top and that was very good, and we’ll worth the price. We asked for refills for the teas and they came, eventually, however, he forgot the ice again. We were well and done eating by this point so we asked for the check it’s one this little machine which is credit card only. (That’s fine.) For some reason Dave decided to read our total out loud, this is no one business it’s a little rude to say in a place that cost us a trip to Cheesecake Factory, especially when it’s half as good as there. He gave the thing to the person who was paying and stood over us and looked at the pay thing on the tip screen to force the person who payed to give him a $20 tip. Then he skipped the “How did we do screen” for us. I have never seen a waiter or server do this. They don’t even do it at Jersey Mikes or Cheesecake Factory. He deserved a 10% tip at best for serving 4 people at once, but that was rude. I will not come back. That is easily the worst thing I’ve ever seen any waiter or server do. You earn tips, you don’t coerce people into forcing $20 tips of bills that are already over $100. This place is not worth the price for the food or service. It is simply an inflated Dave...

Disappointing, disorganized experience from the beginning.

When we first walked in, we were not greeted by anyone and had to do a 180 turn around an unmarked corner to find the registration tablets. We walked in around 6:20p on a Sunday and were able to easily book for 6:50p.

We decided to try a drink while we waited, so we sat down at the bar. It took quite a long time for the bartender to even acknowledge us, and when she did, she was not very pleasant. Didn't even smile at us, told us she'd be back to get our order in a minute. We had sat at some stools where the bar was not cleared yet, but we patiently waited to her to finish helping others and greet us/clear the empty glasses/spills left from the previous party. But after waiting for a while longer, it felt like she wasn't planning on coming back anytime soon.

We decided to leave the bar and found a table where we could see the screens where it shows groups and courses, letting you know it's when time to start your game. The screen shuffles through the scheduled times and parties, but we never saw our reservation appear. After we were finally able to order drinks, I went up to the hostess stand and asked if we should be concerned that we didn't see our name on the screen. She said no; that it was actually a glitch on their part and that we could head up to the course whenever we were ready... that's great, but how would we have known this was happening if we didn't bother to ask? Once we got our drinks, we headed over to the courses area. I will say, my $14 cocktail, though overpriced, was actually pretty good.

There are 3 courses totaling a whopping 9 holes each. Whoever designed this space should get their architectural degree revoked. For how big it is, the courses should be spaced out way more, but instead all three are shoved in one small corner of the building. We went up to the course and waited in line to get our balls and putters. Once to the front the attendant seemed confused our reservation wasn't on the list (because of the aforementioned glitch), so we got sent to a different course/employee to wait again. The whole thing was very chaotic, and it never felt like an employee fully understood what was going on.

Once you make it on the course you're consistently on top of other groups, as there is very little place to stand when your group isn't putting. Each hole felt like a 2-3 par at most. One of their selling points is that you don't have to worry about keeping score since the ball is tracked automatically, but if your ball unsyncs (like ours did), you have to delay your game yet again and wait for assistance from one of the already overwhelmed employees. Some of the holes have fun themes but are unbearably simple, and it's pretty disappointing to get half a course for $15/person.

TLDR; Nothing about this experience made it better than standard, old-school mini golfing, IMO. Save some money and have a better experience...

Went on a Tuesday night and was able to get on a course within ten minutes of arriving. The golfing experience was fun and the staff in charge of that area was very helpful. However, it was in the restaurant area that I had an undesirable experience which is reflective of my mediocre rating. I entered the dining area after I had golfed which was around 7:30pm. Shortly after we sat down, our waiter came over to take our drink order and right from the start he had a very unpleasant demeanor. I tried not to let that bother me though and while he went to get our drinks, I looked around us and noticed that there was only a few tables that were occupied whereas the rest had looked to have had bigger parties that had just left for there was still used dishes remaining on the table. Once he gave us our drinks, I then proceeded to give him our food order which consisted of one appetizer and two entrees. It was after he had taken our order over to the kitchen that he proceeded to clean the area around us. After some time, we then watched him go retrieve a jacket and step out the back door. It had now been about 20 minutes since we had placed our appetizer order and what was most upsetting was that I could now see our appetizer sitting in the order window where it remained for over 10 minutes while others around us were being served their food as soon as it came up. What I believed to be a manager walked by so I called him over just to ask about the status of our order and he said he’d check for me. He then looked around for our waiter, stepping out the same back door twice. The second time, the waiter came back with him and the two of them talked to an additional employee who looked to be the food server. This man then picked up the plate that I had watched sit there this whole time and brought it over to us without saying a word. Our waiter although back in the building did not even come over to address the situation nor did the man I spoke to about it. Instead our waiter went over to the bar and did clean up over there. At this point, our drinks were near empty. Shortly after, the server came over with our entrees so I asked him about refills to which he told me I would have to speak to the waiter. Well after we were into our entrees the waiter did finally return with filled drinks and asked if the food was alright and at this point, I did not feel like causing any issues so I said yes and thanked him for the drinks. The food was good; however, my overall dining experience was ruined at this point. I will return for the golf but I do not plan on...
