Cutest and most delicious Thai restaurant nestled right on Penn Ave in the middle of the Strip District. They have dine in and take out options. They also have lunch specials as well as larger portions for dinner. Very authentic décor and food. Was able to try their Thai Iced Tea which is a refreshing blend of black tea, spices and a sweetened condensed milk. Their golden crab wonton is probably one of the best I have ever had. The owner and head chef came and talked to me and told me she wraps each wonton daily by hand! They are made with chopped crab meat, cream cheese, green onion and cilantro and served with a sweet chili sauce. I would go back here just for those!!! The Tom Yum Bowl is a traditional Thai soup flavored with lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves and fresh Thai chilis. It is very light and refreshing. The Pad Thai is amazing as well. A Thai stir-fry, rice noodle cooked with egg, bean sprouts, scallions, carrots, crushed peanuts and a lime wedge. She let me try some of her homemade spices from her “spice rack”. One was a dry, flakey spice that she chops and blends and has a nice subtle kick, the other is more of a paste and has spice but is combined with a sweet flavor that does not make the spice too overkill and the last was more of your traditional soy sauce but it was very delicious and flavorful. I can not wait to try many more things...

I love Thai food. There aren't many options around Pittsburgh, though I have my favorite (Nicky's) which is not available through my fave delivery service for Corona delivery, so I decided to go another direction.
I started with Crab Rangoons. They are a favorite and I'm always interested to see how each Asian restaurant does them just a bit differently. In this case, top notch. They were fried so delicately, crispy and golden, with a great filling and a good dipping sauce. Not disappointed.
My entree was the Panang Curry with beef. I got spice level "6" on that as I'm not suicidal but do enjoy some zing. Always hesitant the first time I order somewhere. I found the spice level was just right. Sting on the tongue that lingered a little but not so much that I didn't enjoy my meal. The curry was great, full of flavor and nice fresh ingredients, particularly the eggplant was was in huge, big chunks. If I had one complaint it was that there was hardly any beef in it and what was there was a little tough and stringy. It wasn't the nice shaved beef I get in a lot of other...
Read moreMy bad review is not based on the food or service, but what I was charged for my food. I work in the strip district, so I ate here quite a few times. every time I eat here I get the same thing. it's the lunch special which is on the menu as 10 dollars for a combination of 2 meats with rice or noodles. I always get the teriyaki chicken and shrimp combo lunch special with rice which should only be about 10 dollars plus tax. however, I get charged a different amount everytime I go here. it's always between 11 and 15 bucks. with tax, at the most it should be about 11 dollars but I have ben charged 13, 14, and one time even 15 bucks for the same exact meal. most recently, I ate lunch here yesterday. I ordered the same thing i always do which is on the menu for 10 bucks, I even ordered a water to make sure my bill was only about 10 or 11 dollars at the most. when I went to pay my total was almost 14 dollars. I will not be coming to this place again. the food is good but I'm sick of the fluctuations in the price when I'm ordering the same...
