I had my wedding here in November 2021 and the experience working with Kirsten and The Art Room staff was excellent. We actually found this venue through our wedding planner. Before Covid-19 hit, we were displaced from our original venue on the North Side in the fall of 2019 and in a desperate scramble to find another venue to have our (originally scheduled) September 2020 wedding. We toured this space and immediately fell in love with everything about it that we booked right after we toured. It's a gorgeous industrial, modern vibe which is what we were going for. Almost every corner of this building is able to utilized which is great if you have a large guest count. They have bathrooms on both floors and the ability to have two bars, which is also helpful for a big count. When Covid-19 came in spring 2020, Kirsten was very responsive and in constant communication with us and our wedding planners. Just like most venues at that time, she was trying to help pivot and keep couples up to date with all information. Ultimately, we made the decision to postpone our wedding until November 2021. Kirsten helped keep our spirits up that in due time, we would have the wedding we envisioned and when we picked up back up with planning in spring 2021, she was right back with us. She makes the contract and all the details (chairs, spacing/seating, where bars should be, etc) very easy to understand and deal with. She was very helpful with picking our bar package for our reception too. The alcohol choices with the Art Room venue are the most impressive I've seen for a Pittsburgh wedding venue in a long time and their bartenders are excellent. We loved our signature cocktail. From rehearsal evening to the big day, this team was amazing. Kirsten worked with our planners to make sure all was taken care of and that our guests knew they could freely move around the venue. The servers took care of our guests during cocktail hour perfectly. We really didn't have to worry about organization and our vendors cause Kirsten and crew were on it all night. We even rented out the Wine Library at the PA Market (right down the street, they own this venue) and had our after party there. Kirsten made sure we were all set up with that and we highly recommend doing that if you have your wedding at the Art Room, so convenient and we were well taken care of at the PA Market too! This venue really can transform into a dream space for any wedding style. The Strip District has been revitalized and Smallman St., where the venue, is looks so great now too. And there is plenty of street parking and several public lots right near The Art Room, so no need to worry if you have guests driving to downtown. Our long awaited wedding day was really made perfect by the hard work of this venue staff. You need to book this hidden gem ASAP if your looking for a great Pittsburgh...

Andy and I toured 20+ wedding venues in Pittsburgh during the beginning of our wedding planning process. Not being from the city originally, we wanted to see each venue in person since we had little to no preconceived thoughts about each space. We quickly learned that ballrooms were not our style. Carpeting and drapery to me felt heavy, difficult to match aesthetically, and just too traditional for us. I ended up picking a friend’s brain about venues she was familiar with on a professional level with her job and she quickly shared with me the existence of The Art Room. At the time, The Art Room did not have a website yet and I could not find any pictures of the space online. I decided to message the Instagram account and Kirsten replied to me rather quickly by email. Once we first toured the space, we knew that no other venue was going to top this unique strip district spot. Hardwood floors, tin ceilings, original brick walls, garage doors, and unique and creative pieces of artwork scattered throughout the venue was the exact sort of Pittsburgh gritty space we were looking for. Working with Kirsten throughout our entire engagement was absolutely lovely. Kirsten always accommodated any requests we had and truly made us feel like our wedding was important to her. She let us walk through the space various times throughout the year when friends or family were in town and she always encouraged us to visit and let her know if we needed anything. On our wedding day Kirsten and the PA Market team performed an exceptional service. They worked with our caterer Bistro to Go to rearrange the space in the exact way we envisioned it. They also held the bar package and invited us to the PA Market a few months prior to create the most custom cocktails based on spirits Andy and I liked. I have never seen custom cocktails like this at a wedding before that weren’t just renamed typical cocktails. We received so many compliments from our guests! Kirsten went above and beyond for Andy and I, giving us the idea to reserve parking spots outside the venue, offering to take down pieces of art on certain walls in the reception space, and sharing with us the addition of the new Art Room chairs before we decided on our final reception chairs. Kirsten is the wedding venue coordinator of your dreams and I am confident she gives every couple the same attention to detail she gave us. We were so happy with absolutely everything The Art Room did for us on our wedding day and feel extra special every time we visit the strip district knowing we chose this spot of the city for our...

I have so many wonderful things to say about Kirsten and The Art Room that I don’t know where to even begin!!!

The entire experience from our first walk through to picking our items up the day after our Wedding was 100% incredible. I will recommend The Art Room to everyone for any occasion that they’re having!!

Our event planner Kirsten was absolutely amazing to work with. We seriously love her so much! She was so detailed and organized while also being kind and positive and upbeat. She didn’t miss on a single thing the entire day/night. She took our vision for our decor and setup and brought it to life even better than we had envisioned! She made sure that everything was perfect not only for us as a couple but for our family and guests too. Everyone kept saying how amazing the night was and how cool The Art Room is as a venue! Kirsten also worked with all of our other vendors so wonderfully! The night was perfect.

Our bartenders and wait staff were also so amazing all night! They kept drinks flowing and dinner service was on point!

We used The Art Room’s catering, the PA Market, for everything the night of our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with every dish that came out of the kitchen. It was all so spectacular and our guests raved about how good their meals were!

One thing that is so unique about this venue is that your guests who want to take a dance break or want to have a conversation with someone, can go on the other side of the venue, away from the dance floor, and can actually talk with someone. A lot of the time at weddings, you need to go outside to talk but here, you can sit at your table, enjoy some dessert and take a break from the dance floor. A lot of our guests really enjoyed being able to do that! The garage doors are also such a nice feature of this venue as well!

Overall, we are so thankful that we chose to have our wedding reception at The Art Room. The venue is so unique and everyone who works there is the best of the best. HAVE YOUR...

#creatorsearchinsights Thinking about a pet platypus? These quirky animals bring a unique mix to the table: they’ve got duck bills, otter bodies, and even venomous spurs! As semi-aquatic creatures, they need plenty of water to swim, a diet rich in insects, and space to roam. Plus, they glow under UV light! Though fascinating, their special care requirements mean they’re not the easiest pets to manage. 🐾🦆🌊 #PlatypusPets #ExoticPets #AnimalFacts #PlatypusLife #QuirkyAnimals #UniquePets #PetCareTips #WildlifeLover #Platypus #AnimalKingdom #PetOwnership #ExoticAnimalCare #PlatypusLove #GlowInTheDark #SemiAquatic #AnimalFactsDaily #VenomousAnimals #WildPets #CuriousCreatures #PetLovers
