The Banks - A Waterfront Venue — Attraction in Pittston

The amount of gratitude that John and I have for Kevin and Jamie goes beyond what words can express. However, they were so instrumental in making our wedding day into the dream we always envisioned. (Long Post Alert!) When John and I first got engaged, we were so excited and began to plan our day right out of the gate. Shortly after, Covid-19 started to turn all of our plans upside down. John and I, at one point, were planning THREE different weddings in hopes of keeping our wedding dreams alive. When we were about to give up hope and reschedule our special day, a friend suggested we visit The Banks Waterfront. At this point, I had almost given up. I told John about The Banks, and he immediately said we needed to make an appointment. Enter Kevin and Jamie. I like to think of them as our Wedding Guardian Angels! My first conversation was with Kevin. His energy was infectious immediately. Within two days, John and I were standing in the reception area, walking through everything that has gone wrong thus far with wedding planning. Walking into the main doors of The Banks was like a dream. Kevin, Jamie, and Jamie’s son were there to greet us with smiles on their faces. I tried to keep a poker face, but I had an overwhelming feeling of being at our future wedding venue. When you know, you know. Right?! EVERYTHING WAS GORGEOUS! As soon as we entered, we had this overwhelming feeling of positivity, happiness and we saw the light at the end of the tunnel. While touring the gorgeous main reception area, we felt we knew Kevin and Jamie for years. They made us feel like family. John and I knew deep down; this would be a superb location to have our special day. Through this process, like many couples planning a wedding during a pandemic, we had some very low moments, but in return, we had incredible highs. Kevin and Jamie were a HUGE PART of our high moments. We put our trust in them. I have to say; it was one of the best decisions we made. We have guests of our wedding, still calling and texting saying The Banks Waterfront was elegant, classy, and those owners….They were on top of everything! In my personal opinion, BEST WEDDING EVER! If you have the chance to book The Banks Waterfront, it will NOT be a mistake. Honestly, if you are about to be engaged, go book now! This place IS the best location in town. Everyone who works at this location is phenomenal. To the bartenders, parking attendants, and more, I want to thank you all for making John and I’s wedding day perfect! To Jamie and Kevin, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I wish you all the best with this location. I know there will be many other weddings at this location, but nowhere near as memorable as ours. Update 10/29/2023: Attended a Baby Shower here today. It was just perfection. Even on a rainy, cold day, it was warm and beautiful inside. The valets insured all the attendees were helped to to the door with umbrella coverage. Everyone was greeted just inside. The table assignment board was clear and very pretty. The food display started with appetizers as a charcuterie, etc. near the bar which was readied with poured champagne. This was a display shower and the gifts were set up so attractively already and provisions were made for those who brought their gift with them. So much more fun than waiting for the guest of honor to open all those packages! The decor and flowers by Petals Fleurs was breathtaking. Highly recommend! Service was excellent! Very professional and quick but non- intrusive removal of lunch plates etc. Food was delicious.(Privately catered). Fabulous PA cookie table, of course. Ladies all seemed to have fun with the selfie stations, too. This really is just one of the prettiest places with the best service to have an event in our area. Even with a rainy, cloudy day, the autumn view of the river with The Banks outdoor firepits blazing made it a beautiful and warm scene. So happy this venue has done nothing but improve since it's opening! A true asset to not just Pittston but the entire Valley.

5/2/30/2021 Physically beautiful venue. Lots of service staff. Some need training on the proper way to serve, remove plates, etc. This was the result of the caterer, as the venue does not provide wait staff. Be careful of such when you are hiring your caterer for an event...that pertains to any venue. Bartenders were excellent, especially with a very large crowd. Many supervisory staff, professionally dressed making sure things went smoothly. The bartenders and supervision are venue controlled, which is excellent, especially for liability. One of the biggest problems at the large event I attended was the acoustics. You had to shout to the person seated next to you and couldn't hear any of the speeches. This occurred because the band insisted on bypassing the venues sound system and using their own. The band wouldn't adjust their speakers per the recommendation of the venue, either. It was a shame as most of the guests missed most of the event festivities. Again, some words of caution. But this could pertain to any venue you may choose. One other improvement that could be made is to fill in the cracks in between the floor planks in the cabana. It's a beautiful area with a bar and view of the river, but for the ladies, it's a killer on your shoe heels. The original plank flooring lends a nice ambiance to the decor of the cabana, but many women had high heels and had them caught in the cracks... potential for a fall and injury, too, not just destroyed shoes. All-in-all the area is lucky to have another beautiful...

Where to begin. First, the venue is 10/10 perfect. Elegant, spacious and a beautiful waterfront view. While the beauty of the venue was great... the staffing absolutely make this place perfect. I’ll start with Kevin. He is part owner of the establishment. He coordinated the entire process with us. He was always quick to respond. He ironed out any speed bumps along the way, even when they didn’t directly concern the venue. He made it completely stress free. He was pleasant, professional, and provided far more in value than we expected. I would book this venue 100x over. Next, Jamie is the other partial owner. He was by our side (bride and groom) on our special day for anything we needed. Timing, coordinating, drinks, food... you name it, Jamie made it happen without hesitation. Then the entire staff! From the gentleman who controlled the parking, to the bar tenders, to the greeter with hand sanitizer. Our guests spoke the world of this staff and how friendly and professional they were. I was left speechless at the perfection of this night. Felt like a king. My last comment. I wanted a very specific, hard to find beverage as my groom drink for the “his and hers”. Kevin told me not to worry he’ll figure out a way to make it happen. Next thing you know- coolers full of my specialty drink were ready to Go on the big day. Absolutely fantastic on all aspects.
