Our school hosted our Mother-Son Event at Battle GR last Sunday. It was an absolute riot!! Jenny is amazing and worked with us to set up the event. She let us visit their incredible facility and answered all of our questions as we planned for the big day. Basically, she helped walk us through the event step by step. She had great ideas about how to organize the event, which were super helpful--like setting up a sign-up genius for moms and sons to sign up for laser tag in advance so things were organized and ran smoothly the day of. She created a flyer for us so that people could RSVP and have the waiver completed before the event. This made everything go smoothly when people arrived.
On the day of the event, Jenny had scheduled a lot of staff to help run stations and work concessions. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming, and fun. They gave instructions on how to participate in the activities and even demonstrated how to do some of the activities, like ax throwing, that people may not be as familiar with.
At our event there were boys ranging in age from preschool to 8th grade, and everyone had a blast! That is evidence of the wide variety of activities and options that Jenny and her team offer at Battle GR. Safety is important to them, and it is also important that everyone who comes is welcomed and has fun. There were so many activities: archery, laser tag, Esports, ax throwing, video gaming with wii switches, an Oculus VR headset, basketball, volley ball, gaga ball, and corn hole. Jenny had even made sure that there were board games available in their party room for kids who wanted a quieter atmosphere.
I was super impressed with Jenny and her team. They went above and beyond to make our time there memorable. My boys, 3rd and 7th grade, have already been asking if we can schedule to have our Mother-Son Event there again next year because they had...
Read moreWent there with a couple of friends to check the place out. The staff was great and it was a lot of fun. They have tons of different game modes that we tried out. This was really new to me since the last time i played laser tag was 15 years ago and it was all TDM (team death match). But this place had multiple different game modes. My group tried out One shot one kill with respawns and a demolition type game mode where you fight to the other persons base to shoot a box to win. The equipment we used was really something else. I was expecting a big bulky gun and a heavy vest. What we got was a light weight cap with sensors and light weight durable gun with a sensor. Tagging a player with the gun was different as well but it was refreshing change from what i was expecting. Normally it is the light emitted from the gun that tags the sensor. Not the case here it is the scope on the gun that emits like an RFID tag signal so it took a bit to get used to. The arena itself was a bit different. I was expecting black light but it was just dim lighting, which was fine. the area felt a bit small from what i played in 15 years ago at other places but it was still a great time. Talking with the Staff they said they rearrange the arena every so often to keep things fresh. That is a big plus in my book since other places have a set placement for everything do not change things around. Overall the experience was great and i have to say laser tag isnt just for kids, adults will have fun as well. I will be going back for their adult nights which happen once a month. Hope this help anyone looking for a great place...
Read moreI could not be happier with our experience at BattleGR. It was my son’s 13th birthday & we chose the VIP party package for he & his friends. I have not experienced such a high concentration of amazing staff members in one facility in my life. Usually there are at least a few bad eggs. The staff here are so friendly, welcoming, accommodating & kind and they seemed truly interested in making this experience a great one for our son & his friends, as well as couple of “annoying” little brothers ;) who they even whisked away to the PC section so my husband & I could enjoy some quiet time by ourselves. And let’s just say mama had an adult libation or two! The facility is clean & well maintained & it was fun being able to see a bird’s eye view of the kids playing laser tag. We’d like to send a special shout out to Trevor, who was our kind & highly energetic party host; he had obviously done this before and was engaging and at ease with the kids. Lindsey, also, was amazing with our younger boys & took it upon herself to set them up on computers & check in on the kids regularly, even though I doubt that she was required to do so—she just went over and above. We received a thank you note from Trevor & BattleGR a few days after the party with a couple of little prizes for our son & the note even had our son giggling, as it was silly just like Mr. Trevor was. Thank you BattleGR for making this such a great experience for our whole family. We will...
