Snip-its Haircuts for Kids — Attraction in Plano

Date of Service: 12/20/24 I would not recommend Snip Its for a toddler haircut. The stylist made an annoyed face when we told her it was our son’s first haircut. She asked if we wanted to buckle him in the tall styling chair - obviously yes. Snip It’s did not have a booster seat for the chair which I think would have helped with keeping our son more secure during the haircut.

I acknowledge that my son was crying and wiggly in the chair, but the stylist shaved way too much above his ear, leaving it jagged and crooked. I was not happy with the haircut. The manager did offer to have another stylist fix the cut, but we were all too upset to do it right then and we had lost trust that a different stylist could fix it.

Later that day we took our son to a different kids haircut place, and the stylist there couldn’t believe a kids stylist cut our son’s hair the way the Snip Its stylist did. Thankfully, the different kids haircut place was able to fix the cut for us.

I am disappointed that Snip Its is not equipped to handle a toddler and did not treat us with care, when compared to the different business we went to.

What a great kids haircut salon! I took my 3 girls here for the first time today and I was so pleased! It's the week before school starts and a day where cuts are only $13.99 so the wait was LONG, but even still the staff were upbeat and moved through the cuts with ease. I watched Nikki handle a very emotional baby get a cut and not once did she lose her patience or take too long completing the cut. I was lucky to have her cut one of my girls hair as well. She was sweet and took time to make my youngest feel comfortable. My older two girls got their cuts from a lovely young woman named Kwana. She was wonderful! Very friendly and energetic! She cut both of their hair perfectly and made them feel special. She also went out of her way to explain their referral program. The clerk at the front was a sweetheart as well and was very helpful. There was another stylist there as well and although I didn't get to use her services, she seemed very happy and did a great job on the other kiddos hair. Very disappointing appointment today. Had a 4pm appt booked. We went in 30 min early to see if they could fit us in. The young man running the front told us that they probably could not fit us in. No big deal. Got a text 10 min before confirming our 4pm. Wrote back we will be there. Got in right at 4 and they had one hair stylist working and just sat them down for a cut. I asked when we were going to be seen and he told me there was now a 10 min wait. Why did he give away my appointment? No answer. 30 min later my son got to sit down for his cut. We go to this place because they are good with autistic children- but this was the worst treatment. My son was anxious the entire wait. No apology. The cut was awful. Looks like a bowl cut. No fade on the side at all. I was upset I just paid (and tipped) but decided we won’t be back. 2 stars because we’ve previously had good experiences, but this was just too terrible of service.
