Windhaven Park — Attraction in Plano

I haven't swum in 5 years but have started back. This facility is designed in the 1960s style which is unfortunate for a facility built in 2008. The Plano West swim team deserves a better facility to use for a team that in prior years have turned out state champions. In addition during certain times of the day it is tough to find Swim Lap Lane Availability. The water temperature is good for lap swimming. Not too hot...

Not sure why Google says it is Windhaven Park, when it is Tom Muehlebeck Recreation Center in Plano, esp. the outside swimming pool that is open for summer only (while the heated inside pool is opened all year long). Not happy with the restrictions on the water slides. Even if my son is tall enough he must be able to swim 25 meters?! The slides done empty to a pool but a channel of water 4” deep. That’s egregious; the city run water park in Carrollton had my son and his friends riding their slides with zero incidents safely.
