I went in to get a sensitive test. I have done this test at my own labcorp in my hometown over 50 times. Labcorp where I come from and my doctor have told me on numerous occasions that you have to use a specific collection container that protects it from light and then freeze it. The lady at the front desk knew she was supposed to give me a specific container but she was overrode by the phlebotimist. He told her no have me use a regular container and he would transfer it later. I went ahead and did the test and once again the lady at the front desk asked me to bring it out to her because she knew it was time and light sensitive and once again the fella overrode her and told me to leave it in the restroom where there were a bunch more cups that had obviously been sitting all morning so I tried to talk to him and let him know that once it is exposed to light the sample is worthless and he replied with "who said that". I replied with "my doctor" to which he actually laughed at me and said "yeah well doctors don't do what we do" the arrogance of that statement is astounding, The doctor in question is a porphyria specialist who has dedicated his entire life to the study of porphyria and teaching other doctors about this rare disease. If the gentleman that laughed at me reads this review I just want to say to you that you need to learn some customer service skills if you are going to work with people at the very least some professionalism. I also want you to know that your refusal to really listen to a customers concerns cost me my infusion I needed because of course the test came back unusable because it was exposed to light which meant i had to wait 3 more days after going to quest where they actually cared what I had to say. How dare you assume you know more about my specific disease than my doctor and myself. If the manager reads these reviews I want to say to you that you are employing a bully. He bullied the young lady at the front desk who seemed afraid to voice her concerns and he tried bullying me. We entrust our health care to your company and I have been to some pretty great labcorp locations however; I will be using quest...
Read moreI went there twice. Had a great experience today. I did show up at 7:15 waited in line till 730. Six people showed up before 730 as I did too . They open the doors exactly as 7:30 . Which is good . But .... They have three check-in’s. Automotive . Only two work . They have a waiting room from 7:30 come and check in . One guy at the front desk awesome guy sorry he’s the only one but he tries really hard . He tells everyone that walks in to the door please check in at the automated . Only problem is Everyone who walks up to the automated doesn’t understand it including myself the first time . You have to put your license in and paperwork. If you come back a second time And you have to do is show your license . Which is good but . But if you have 10 people . In front of you and don’t understand that . And to figure that out it takes time. They try to put their information in Makes you very late for a lot of appointments . Because some people can check in with a license and some not so much which makes no one to really ever want to come back. To your LAB again and hope you understand . At this point i do have a new doctor next-door A have a back up now because I understand the syste. But Again I will definitely let my doctor know. How unhappy I am with the system Dr. j . Komenda . Sincerely Felicia Siepker P.S I feel bad for all the people checked in before me did not understand the...
Read moreWorst location ever! I went in right before Labor Day weekend. My provider wanted me to get blood work done to check on my medicine levels. She said she wanted me to get it done that Friday. I knew my new insurance wasn’t going to start until Monday. I told the front desk lady this (her name was Destinee I believe) and she said “don’t worry since you are here in the late afternoon by time I submit this it will be Monday before BCBS files it and since you active Monday it will be fine.” I asked her to reassure me on this and she said yes l. She didn’t even call my insurance to confirm this before taking me back and doing it herself?! She tried to get blood and she didn’t talk to me or calm me down or anything she sticked me and held it in there (worst blood taken ever!) I literally almost fell off table and finally like what felt like forever later I asked if she almost done and she goes nope we didn’t even get one. I then got a bill from BCBS and surprise surprise when they tried to talk to labcorp about this the lady keeps denying she said anything like this and now I am going through MONTHS of hell trying get this rectified between my provider BCBS AND this labcorp! I will never be going to another labcorp ever again after...
