Booked 8 appointments here over a month ago for my daughterās birthday. We called back a week ago and confirmed the appointments. The salon called us 20 hours before the party to cancel all 8 appointments. The lady who called was incredibly rude, yelled at my husband when he tried to impress on her that this was one of the stops for our daughterās birthday party and we donāt have enough time to find another place to accommodate 8 girls. She stated the employee who initially took the reservation, and the next employee who confirmed it, both did not speak English so they did not know what they were agreeing to/confirming. She then asked my husband āwhat donāt you understand? Do you speak English!?ā. When my husband said he was going to stop by the salon to speak with the owner, the employee responded āgood luck finding her, we never see her aroundā and also threatened to call the cops if he tried to speak to the owner (!?!?). This was one of the craziest experiences weāve ever hadā¦volatile employees with no customer service and zero reliability or accountability. It was such a crazy interaction we thought we were being pranked. I have been getting my nails done here for quite some time⦠but after this experience, Iāll never go again.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT: "false review" suggests that you did not cancel our 8 person appointment one day prior - you confirmed in your review that you did in fact cancel the day prior (despite confirming the appointment a week prior). Your employee who called my husband LIED- she said the people in your salon do not speak English and did not understand what appointment they booked or confirmed (two separate employees). You later messaged my husband and said the appointments were not cancelled because your employees do not speak English, the appointments were cancelled because you had FOUR employees quit last minute (wonder why...). Plain and simple... your employee lied to your customers. Asking a customer if "they speak English" is not a "calm and professional way to communicate". She also made sarcastic comments about how absent you are in running your own business- that also does not seem professional to me. It is clear from your response that you take no accountability for the horrible customer service you and your employees provide, which is exactly the point I made in my initial review. Leaving a negative review for a business that lacks professionalism and customer service is not a "threat", its a widely accepted way to rate businesses online in order to encourage or dissuade other clients based on personal experiences. Based on your responses to your other one star reviews... you really do lack professionalism and any sense of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: Want to provide an update. The owner, Don, messaged me almost immediately after my original post. He let me know that the individual who did my nails was new. Don apologized and asked that I give the salon another chance; he offered to do my nails for free. After figuring out a time that worked with my schedule, I went and had dip powder done by the owner; I was impressed that he offered to do my nails himself. He did a great job and was very gentle, which I appreciated after my last experience. He took his time shaping my nails making sure I got the shape I desired. The powder/color was a little patchy (a result of the product not his work), and he kept working on my nails to correct it while ensuring they didnāt get too thick and unnatural looking. Updating this from 1 to 4 stars because of the service and attention I received this time.
Original Post: Yesterday, I broke my nail and needed to get my nails done ASAP since it was hurting so much. My normal salon couldnāt fit me in last minute, so I looked up places near me and decided to go Lash Nail Bar because of the great reviews it had. Had I known what a horrid experience it was going to be, I wouldāve bared the pain of my broken nail and waited till my normal salon could fit me in. One of the men did my dip powder set, unfortunately, I donāt know his name. He built up the powder way too high on all my nails and wasnāt able to properly use the drill bits to drill the excess powder off and shape the nails to look more natural. While he was using the metal drill bit, he kept nicking the skin around my nail. I left the salon unhappy with the shape of my nails and the skin around my nails in pain. I called the salon later that day and said I was unhappy with shape and would like it fixed. I went in later in the day thinking another technician would fix my nails, but it was the same guy. I asked him if someone else could do it, as he had really hurt the skin around my nails with the metal drill bit. He said no one else could work on my nails since he had already taken my money. I asked him to be more careful this time. He used the sanding bit, but continued to nick the skin around my nails. The skin on all my fingers was so red and burnt at the end and is still hurting today. This man should not be doing any sets that entail him to use a drill; he has a complete lack of precision or care for the client.
I wish could attach photos to show the burnt/red skin and where blood was drawn from the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI needed to get my nails done on a Sunday around 7:30 PM and this was one of the only place that was open. I donāt usually go to other nail places, but decided to give this one a chance since I needed my nails done. The lady who starts doing my nails (I think her name was Rachel) looked incredibly frustrated the entire time she was doing my nails. I told her what I wanted and then when she was about to do the acrylic, I told her I wanted dip. She looked visibly annoyed since she had already mixed the liquid for the acrylic application. I would have told her prior but I thought she was mixing the liquid for another client. I was trying not to judge her technique because I know every nail artist is different, but she was using a shaping file (which is really rough btw) instead of a buffer after applying the dip to my nails. I was hopeful that she would buff it out for a smoother look, but I went home with my thumb nail extremely bumpy and rough, while the rest of my nails were smooth. I was scared to even bring up this concern to her because of her attitude. Even when I was trying to pick up my phone with one hand while she was working on my other hand, she said no phone. I am paying $60 for these nails, I should not be afraid to express my concerns, but she did not make me feel comfortable whatsoever. I would not recommend this place. The girl next to me was told that it would be a 15 minute wait, then 30 minutes later, the lady who was supposed to do her nails said āIāll be right backā and took close to another 10 minutes. When this girl came in, I had just had my tips glued on. By the time the lady got started on her nails (which was a different lady than the one who was supposed to, who was very nice and apologetic towards the girl), my nails were almost done. She was getting her tips glued while I was getting my top coat painted. I am not saying everyone there is rude, since there were a few employees who did seem nice, but the lady who did my nails made me never wanna come back here again. Now Iām looking at my nails and while the rest of them are smooth, there are little HAIRS under the top coat!...
