I recently took my 1yr old cat to petsmart (had to be rescheduled 3 TIMES to get this appt.) Well, I forgot her paperwork and had to drive back to my apt to get it, then came back and they took her and said it'd be like.. an hour to an hour and a half and they'd call if anything went wrong.
I waited for TWO HOURS. They finally called and said she was ready to come home. I get there and they tell me she got a little frazzled toward the end, so they couldn't finish her cut/claws (THE MAIN REASON I TOOK HER.) Okay, that's understandable. I don't want her getting overwhelmed. They charge me for the bath and the trim only, so I pay and leave ($46).
I get her home, and she comes out of her carrier, SOPPING WET. She's only partially cut, and you can see the razor patterns in her fur. Her left back/front leg are completely un-shaven while the other side is too close of a shave. She had HUGE chunks of loose fur still all over her. The poor baby spit up 3 hairballs last night cleaning all of the fur they left on her. She wouldn't let me handle her, and when she did she pulled away leading me to believe they were rough with her. I'm not exactly sure what I paid for, my poor cat is distraught, and looks absolutely terrible. The salon manager was very nice, however the job they did with my pet was absolutely horrid. They have offered to either refund my visit, or to fix the issue at no cost. I decided to give them a second chance, but I will be most definitely be taking my business else where...
Read moreI brought my dog Sunshine for the first time a week ago and they were great. The grooming salon staff understood my concern about Sunny (the crazy dog previously mentioned) potentially needing a muzzle for her pawdicure, as previous groomers have preferred to use them. They empathized that, while my beagle/ jack terrier, has never bit anyone, my concern is about how she can get nippy. The staff recommended that the groomer working on Sunny's nails have an assistant present. If that plan didn't work they would escalate.
Well, the plan unfortunately did not work. Sunshine's groomer not only needed an assistant, she also needed a cone on Sunny. Together, the 2 groomers worked on Sunshine in an attempt at submission. I'm not going to lie, it was a bit comical to see that little 19lbs Sunny was being her usual difficulty self and giving the 2 groomers a run fight their money😂. The best part? How well the staff handled the situation and tried to calm Sunny. I don't enjoy seeing her struggle, she used to do well with nail trimmers but somewhere along the way something happened and now it's a battle. The professionalism that the staff portrayed was tremendously important to me. I will be bringing Sunshine back (sorry in advance to any future groomers 😆).
P.S. the store is clean, the staff was friendly arms helpful, they've a vet, dog grooming, and classes. Everything your furry...
Read moreThis is for Benfield Pet Hospital in Pleasant Hills: The staff at this location is wonderful! They always fuss over my three little furry companions and treat them with patience, love and respect. I’ve been seeing Dr Hagood there and he put my oldest one on a special diet that I feed him with a syringe and he finally gained some weight. Otherwise healthy, he was eating very little on his own and loosing weight at an alarming rate, this food is saving him. I am very appreciative of Dr. Hagood he saved him when another veterinarian told me there wasn’t anything else that could be done to help him. My precious little furry friend is now at an optimal weight. I travel for 45 minutes to get there and it’s...
