Update: I am updating this review because once I got a supervisor’s attention, I was promptly supported in silencing the alarm and getting a service call scheduled. The owner even followed up to make sure the alarm stayed silent several hours later.
I will also say that I’m writing this review as a tenant, not a landlord or property management.
There was a breakdown in communication between my property management company’s staff and ERA about a dead backup battery alarm over the weekend. Upon learning that a work order had not been received by ERA on Friday as I was previously notified, I communicated that to the staff on call for the property management company. I spoke with 5 different individuals from property management on Saturday afternoon and reiterated that the work order Friday was not received or could not be accessed and a new one needed to be sent to every person. I will be documenting this for them as well.
When I was told again by property management that a request had been sent in, I then called the after-hours ERA technician directly and communicated that. Since the technician said they still did not have a work order, I asked for the issue to be dealt with through a) calling the property management company or b) putting me in touch with a supervisor who might be able to help me further. Both of those requests were not followed through. I fully lost my patience because he said he’d contact them and call me back, and never did.
Tenants should not be left in limbo over the weekend listening to system alarms, regardless of what degree of blame each organization deserves. This should have been escalated quicker. Also, if you want someone to calm down who has been listening to an alarm for 48 hours, it’s not very helpful to tell them that it’s more important that you get paid and follow protocols than that the alarm for their building is functioning properly and not depriving...
Read moreThe co-op that we live in had Emergency Response Associates install fire alarm systems in our unit. Initially there was a minor problem with the installation. I sincerely respect the diligence of Emergency Response in working to resolve this problem. Everyone at Emergency Response worked to remedy the situation and were extremely concerned with getting everything corrected. They were exceptionally understanding and communicated well with us. They were caring and compassionate knowing that we are senior citizens and were concerned. I would definitely recommend Emergency Response in that I find them to be an exceptionally responsible company that definitely stands behind their work and gets everything done correctly. We are very pleased with how things were handled and with Emergency Response as a...
Read moreGreat experience with ERA! I’m a residential alarm system (and cameras) customer. The installation was professional and comfortable. They were on time, and addressed all of my questions. Gave me a full run down of my system looked for potential dead spots and gave me a full detailed explanation as to what I was getting and how it would protect me and my family. Their customer service is so easy. They actually pick up the phone and handle your inquiries and even troubleshoot in real time if needed. That was awesome not having to have to schedule another appointment just to get a quick answer to a question. I would refer to all who are looking for an alarm company to service their home, and want to be treated as a human being and valued customer rather than just a number....
