Quiet little hole in wall restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Close to the corner with street parking may have to walk to it. Decor is ok and service was fine but nothing to write about. The meal started with what appeared to be home made bread that came out with burnt ends but it was cold. Once you got past the burnt part it was pretty good with the butter. I would preferred it to be warm but it was fine. We ordered the French onion soup but it was very heavy on the wine or had a weird flavor that my wife just could not overlook.  We didn't send it back she just didn't eat it said that was a hard pass. However our entrées were worth the price of admission (there was no admission price but they were good). I had the duck burger. Which was my first one, so I had nothing to compare it too, but it set a high standard for my next one. It had a strong soft bun that held in the bacon, burger, and fried egg. Very tasty but as you work through it, it did get a little dry but that didn't stop me from devouring it. The wife had Pan Seared Scallops which was served over cauliflower Risotto. Scallops were cooked perfectly and if you weren't told the risotto was cauliflower you would not have known. Very comprised dish that had delightful components individually but also paired perfectly to made a delicious bite. Will definitely make our way back to try something new.

As another reviewer had mentioned in a recent review, the StoneRose is unable to manage their volume of service and does not honor their reservations. My husband and I visited for burger week and had a reservation for 7:30 PM. We waited for close to 45 minutes and were never seated. To her credit, the hostess was very apologetic, but basically told us that there was nothing she could do. We eventually found 2 seats at the bar around 8:15 and finally put in some drink and food orders. The hostess then came by to tell us that her manager wanted to bring us some appetizers on the house as an apology for the wait, which we appreciated. Lo and behold, those appetizers never materialized, which felt like adding insult to injury. The only redeeming part of this experience is that I quite enjoyed my burger, but my husband found his to be bland and overcooked. I do want to give this establishment another try someday, but some serious issues with the service need to be addressed.

Went to the Stone Rose last night for a late dinner. My husband and I got the short rib flatbread to split, which was absolutely amazing, it literally! I didn't even get a picture of it before we ate it. I also tried the soup of the day, which was a potato soup, that was very flavorful. I would recommend it! Unfortunately, I underestimated the size of both of those dishes, so I was only able to take a few bites of my entree before I was full. I definitely recommend going with a lighter dish, or eating the flatbread as a meal itself! My entre was the Salmon, which the menu said had a "pomegranate chili" glaze, and that sounded too interesting to pass up! I will say, I was a little disappointed in the farro that was paired with the salmon, and although the salmon was perfectly cooked, the glaze was a little more subtle than I hoped it would be. All said, I do love the food and atmosphere at the Stone Rose, I will just skip the salmon next time.

My bf and I went to dinner here yesterday for our date night of the month. We heard good things about the place and made a reservation for two. When we were being seated, we were surrounded by very loud conversations; it was almost a full house with a large party of gals. There weren't anything in this restaurant that seem to dampen the sound. I couldn't hear my boyfriend across the very small table, I was screaming and leaning over the whole time.

Fair selection of wine and small but good selection of craft beers, in bottles and draft.

Appetizer: Braised rib and mac and cheese. I enjoyed the mac and cheese, because it was not super greasy or cheesy, so if you like the very cheesy kind, this is not it. This is the worst braised rib I've had compared to Totaro's or Spring Mill Cafe. It was dry and the sauce could be more flavorful. Usually, if you spend enough time braising the rib in low temperature long enough, most people can get the desired falling-off-the-bone and melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was soft but not soft enough. I also preferred a bit more fat on the meat.

I had the Wild Boar with wild mushroom risotto. The meat was overdone, the outside was charred. I had forgotten what came with the meat, and the mush that came with it was so horrible, I didn't know what to make of it. It didn't have any flavor and I asked my bf to taste it to figure out what this mush was. We didn't eat the mush.

My bf had the Yellowfin Tuna. The fish was not of good quality. We made sure it was seared, so very raw. The texture was tough on the fish. The dish came with a daikon salad, which should NEVER be paired with something this delicate, especially the size of the daikon was very large and not marinated or pickled, so the daikon was too strong and bitter for the entire dish. I just didn't understand this dish combination. The only thing that tasted good was the wasabi mash potato.

We had a good waitress, but she only removed my bf's used utensils and not mine. I found it a bit weird.

Overall, I expected much better quality in the food. I left the restaurant feeling that I got ripped off. I do not wish to return, but I might return one more time to make sure it's not just a bad...

Decided to try this place during restaurant week, making the mistake of thinking that we would get a great meal for a great deal. When we first arrived we were asked to sit at a table directly in front of the entrance despite the fact that there were multiple other 2 person table available. After walking the restaurant with the hostess we were finally seated at a different table and, sarcastically told, that us moving seats might have mess up the reservations for the rest of the night. Our waitress was friendly and courteous, but that is where the positives end. The first course, two different salads, were reasonably dressed but poorly seasoned. Both need some salt. The entrees were not terrible, but when I am paying $25 for an entree I expect to be blown away or be too full to move. My husband's entree of scallops with mushroom risotto was underwhelming. At almost $10 a piece the three scallops on the plate were served beyond overcooked. My dish of sweet potato gnocchi were less like pillowy soft morsels I was looking forward to eating and more like pebbles lost in a buttery, overly sweet sauce served with 3 pieces of pancetta and 2 bites of spinach. Dessert took the longest to arrive at our table and was a waste of time and money. One tasted like freezer while the other was not worth the time at the gym it would take to burn off the calories.

In summary this meal was underwhelming, not worth my time or money, and I could have had a better meal if I stayed at home and ate Ramen. Save your money and your time. THe chef needs to lose the sugar, and...
