Brought my phone in 2 weeks ago to have the battery port fixed. I gave them my device on Thursday and I didn't hear from them until noon Saturday. They forgot to fix the phone. They said it would be done by 1, then they called back a few minutes later and said 1:30. Then a few minutes after that they said there was an "accident" with the phone and I'd have to get a new screen. Unfortunately, they only had a screen that was black, my phone is white. I said I wasn't okay with that and they told me it would take a few days to get a new one. I told them just to put the new screen on. He then said the phone would be done at 2. A few minutes before 2, I called to make sure it was done and to make sure they put a new screen protector on it, as the one that was on it had been broken. They said they'd mention that to the guy who was fixing it when he got back from lunch. At 3. The guy said he'd have it done by 2 but left for lunch before he fixed my phone. THEN, I went at 3 to pick up my phone and it wasn't finished. I waited for half an hour. They didn't put a new screen protector on and didn't want to, but I made them and then they wanted to charge me for it. The screen and protector certainly weren't broken when I brought it in. I took the phone with me to the grocery store and then right as I was getting home, 45 minutes later, they called me and told me my SIM card was sitting on their workbench. I had to drive back to pick it up. Within a week, the screen works sporadically, I have to push very hard to text or do anything, my home button rarely works, the phone will freeze and the phone will only charge if I am holding the cord a certain way. When I called and spoke to someone last week, they said to call back to speak with the manager, then they hung up on me. I called the manager on Monday, he said he'd order the part that day, should have it by the next and they'd fix the phone. I called Thursday, no part. I called Saturday and they said they got their freight, but they were still going through it and they'd call me in an hour. By 7 I hadn't heard so I called back. No part. Asked for manager again and they said to call back on Monday and hung up again. Called today at 1:20 and they still haven't gotten the part. They say it's been ordered, but it hasn't. They are giving me the run around. Don't go to these guys. It's been an...
Read moreI was told it would take 2 weeks to fix my phone, that is the only reason I even went in. I had a vacation the weekend after and reasonably wanted my phone for a 6 hour trip. I went in the day it was supposed to be done and they had gotten a shipping notification the day prior. They didn't bother reaching out to tell me the full 2 weeks they knew the screen wouldn't be in. So they told me to just go buy a new phone for the weekend. Quick easy fix. Couple hundred dollars, no big deal. Turns out there isn't a single place in town that sells unlocked phones, and it took me an additional 2 hours to check every store that could possibly. So I just went to a major city with no phone and no way to contact anybody, including the police, or any access to maps. So another week later I went in and they "didn't have time" to do it the day the screen came in, so they got to it around 1 PM the next day. The fact that it wasn't a higher priority tells me other people probably had their phones in longer and I wasn't the only one. There was no communication the entire 3 week process, even with my backup number. There was no communication when my phone was delayed twice, totally screwing me over. To add insult to injury, when i finally got my phone back, they employee asked "You dropped it off yesterday, right?" when he was there for all 4 of my visits to the store, AND it's in the system. Despite wanting to yell at them by then, all i could manage was "No I dropped it off 3 weeks ago". I looked online after the second delay and found my screen for half the price I paid you, with 3 day shipping. Safe to say, I'd rather drive to another town than deal with this business again. My screen doesn't even properly work. The touch is messed up in multiple areas, and it often acts like there's water on the screen when there isnt. It presses one button on my keyboard, keeps opening apps, and closes applocations, occassionally deleating progress. I genuinely cannot believe I paid $150 to get my phone back in "okay" condition "eventually". Screw you guys.
Again, if they had just communicated at all through those first two weeks, I would have had more than enough time to order the screen online and take it somewhere else. They just...
Read moreI bought a motorcycle battery back in March. It only had 8.0V instead of 12.0V and would not hold a charge overnight. I took it back, they tested it and replaced it under warranty. The replacement battery worked ok as long as I parked my motorcycle in my garage, but if I left it outside in the sun for more than a couple hours it would be completely dead and wouldn't start the bike. So I took that battery back to them, they tested it, said it was bad and replaced it under warranty. Third battery would randomly kill my motorcycle as I was riding down the road, and I would have to push start the bike to get it running again. I ended up purchasing a battery from a different company. I went to return the defective battery (for the 3rd time) and they would not give me a refund because it was past the 14 day return policy. The employee said he would have the manager call me to discuss a solution; I never received a call.
They also said it was most likely a problem with my motorcycle. I checked the entire electrical system (power and ground wires, connectors, stator, regulator/rectifier, etc.) and did not find any problems. Each one of their batteries had a different problem. It has now been almost 3 months since I purchased the battery from a different company and I have had zero problems since installing that battery.
I will not be purchasing any more batteries from Batteries Plus...
